I’ve got glitched twice in the game. Once where I just randomly got stuck running forward and my controller was not responding (even though it was fully charged). Got attacked to death…
So I have been doing a few runs through the woods with the rune that gives you extra blood echoes. Those three shadows upset me. I get two down then I just die. so wack
So I randomly took a carriage to Cainhurst castle and found out that I am severely under leveled for that area. Took everything I had to kill one spider. I wouldn’t mind chilling there to get a shit ton of blood echoes, but I need to not die in one combo though.
Those flea women are damage sponges even at higher level. You can stun them but the timing is pretty difficult and there isn’t any reward for doing it. And then they also do a ton of damage so just run past em. If you can’t handle the areas inside the castle either, then sure, come back later, but you’ll probably be fine in that area as long as you avoid those enemies for now.
So I decided to go with a second Play through for the secret ending. This is so much easier the second tine through.
So far like 8 hours in and I’m at the one reborn.
My last file took like 29 hours to complete.
Didn’t know the guide had been delayed until next week but if the rumours are true they’ve had 50+ pages D:
Second playthroughs are always quicker in Souls games, I remember it taking me a while to beat DeS then I just ran through NG+ to NG+++. Currently finishing my second run too, hit a bit of a wall with Ebrietas, gonna choose the “Accept” ending then work on a Skill/Blood character to do the secret ending and NG+
[details=Spoiler]Kinda depends on your normal strategy when fighting enemies but during first phase, stay close and keep dodging to the left. Only thing you need to watch out for it scythe attack, but it’s slow. It’s also counter shot bait, so definitely do that if you can. Just avoid it otherwise. Oh also, if he does the long cast animation, don’t go for a charge R2 behind the back, it’ll give him enough time to aim the big magic orb straight down, and if you’re caught in it that way, it’ll probably just hitstun you til death. Learn to recognize when he switches to the 2nd phase because that you CAN safely charge R2 and then Visceral.
Second phase, basically do the same as first but just make sure you aren’t attack him from the front unless you have an extremely fast weapon because if he uses his sword instead of his scythe, you won’t be able to hit or dodge in time probably. Luckily his sword combo is weak, so just make sure you’re at 50%-60% health or more at all times(depending on how much VIT you have). He has some moves where he flies in the air and readies himself before swinging down with the scythe, just dodge these. It’s kind of hard to punish them so don’t get over zealous in trying to do that. 3rd phase is just kind of doing both. Watch out for summoned swords. Whenever he did this I just tried to stay behind the roof pillar things and I only attacked him if he got close, then ran to a different pillar. [/details]
I don’t have a very clean strategy other than counter shotting all of his melee stuff, which I failed at miserably against him lol
So I beat Rom, (took two tries). Damn those spiders were annoying as shit, but the fight wasn’t too terrible. Took me about 2.5 combos to end him.
Now I am at this Yahar’Gul Unseen Village which is giving me the blues for no reason. I remember ending up there when I lost to an Abductor, but I believe that was an optional part. Now I am here and it seems like I am getting bodied by randoms that I usually can kill in 2 hits. Is there something I am missing or is this area kind of a bitch?
Nah that area just kinda sucks(well to me at least). Go find the women in black ringing the bells and take em out. They’ll keep reviving enemies. If you’re around level 60 to 70-ish with at least 30 Vit you’ll be fine. They’ll still hit hard, but you can survive stuff
I actually think part of the problem is the purple sky and red light. The mood just feels sickening. I actually like the next area way better, but there’s people who think it’s the worst in the game. I think they’re over-reacting a tad but, well, you’ll see.
I figured the women with the bells were bringing back enemies, but I got bodied by a fucking lazer. I haven’t even attempted the area again. Kind of am curious of Cainhurst atm.
Cainhurst should be totally doable if you’ve gotten that far in the story progression. I finished Cainhurst just before Yahar’Gul myself. Again, just run past those flea women things. Certain weapons deal with them pretty well but they’re annoying all around
Can anyone quickly run me through Chalice Dungeons? I’ve no idea how they work.
I completed the Pthumeru Chalice and received two different Pthumeru Chalices, what exactly are these new chalices and what do they do? Usually I like how Bloodborne doesn’t explain many things to you, but leaving out any definitive explanation to Chalice Dungeons was a little annoying. I didn’t even know they existed until NG+.
