I’m summoning the dumbest players for this Reborn boss battle. I don’t feel like i can do it by myself.
I felt the same way you did. I also ditched the Threaded Cane for the Saw Cleaver. Doing so allowed me to me to do better against the tougher enemies. I stuck with it until I got the rifle spear.
Reborn Boss isn’t that hard. Take out the witches first and from there it should be cake. Being under his stomach in the middle portion of it’s body is relatively safe. All you’ll need to look out for are it’s AoE attacks and the vomit.
I was under the impression that you could do the same against Amygdala, so I tried and…
Is fire or bolt paper effective against it?

So I was staying the night at my brothers place the other night and he has a PS4 so I caved and bought Bloodborne and took it over there. We played from around 4 or 5 to like 3 in the morning. So that’s how I was able to play even tho I don’t have a PS4.
[details=Spoiler]My thoughts are that man it’s pretty amazing so far. In the two days we played we made it to old Yarnahm and so far I like everything I’ve seen. I don’t remember the backround we chose for our character, probably whatever the default choice is. For weapons we went with the Threaded Cane but eventually ditched it for the Saw Cleaver. The first boss we found was Cleric Beast but no matter what we tried we couldn’t beat him, so we decided to do more exploring. We down into the aqueducts and found the pig, killed it, explored all down there, climbed out the other side and eventually found Father Cascoigne. He whooped my ass. Thankfully we had unlocked the elevator shortcut so we took a few more shots at him and eventually got him. I was the first one to get him down low enough to transform. There was an audible “Holy shit” when that happened. I was so stunned at the sudden change in pace to the fight that killed me before I could find my footing. I was a little pissed, but god damn that transformation was cool as fuck, really didn’t expect it. I was feelin cocky to cuz figuring out his melee patterns and how to parry him wasn’t too hard, but damn man he still got me.
After that we lit the lamp and explored to the Ooden (sp?) temple and lit the lamp there. Then I decided it was time to go back and give Cleric Beast what for. He still continued to whoop our ass, and I wasn’t feelin the Threaded Cane anymore at this point. I seen you guys raving about it and i can see some of it’s good points, it’s got a really wide attack radius when transformed that works well, but against the boss it just felt way too weak. I went ahead and bought the Saw Cleaver, powered it up a little and went back and instantly was doing much better. After two or three more tries Cleric Beast went down.
We didn’t get to do much after that, we explored enough to find and get through some of Old Yarnahm (gattling gun guy is a mother fucker). I managed to find the route up to the asshole on the gun but I turned around and went back to the Lamp because I had like 10k Blood Echos on me and didn’t feel like risking a retrieval at that point. I never got a chance to head back and take him on sadly. I hope my bro is playing it on his own build, I know he was wanting to see what the axe was all about.[/details]
I can’t wait till I get my own PS4, shiet.

I didn’t use any buffs when I fought it so I wouldn’t know. Though plunging attacks from where the witches are is highly effective.
Got it down to a pixel of life, saw the end in sight so i kept slashing away carelessly…then

That’s always how it goes. NEVER GET GREEDY. If you want to do that, always back off and fire your gun from a safe distance lol

I got a good feel for it though. Focusing on his stomach area or whatever that thing is really helps. I just need to farm some blood vials.
I was watching a video and this dude had more than 20 blood vials. What equipment or leveling allows to hold more than 20 vials?
I’m at Cainhurst boss sl62 anybody wanna help me?

I would but I’m level 30 and would be of no help, lol.

It’s a Rune. There are one’s that allow +1-4. There’s an equivalent for QS Bullets as well.

Truth. In my fight against Rom, I was one hit away from killing it and I had like 90% HP. Topped off anyway before going back in because you never know what could happen. Turned out to be a good idea, too, because…

I forgot to mention that when I played we managed to find some blood gems at the last minute and got to mess with those. I’m really excited about weapon upgrading, I think it’s one of the things I’m most excited about looking deeper into as far as gameplay is concerned. Some of the little bits of talk I’ve picked up makes the gems and runes sound like a lot of fun to use.
I really really liked Dark Souls 1s upgrade paths and shit, and was really let down by the weapon upgrading system for DSII, I think it has the worst one in the series. Bloodbornes looks like it could be really really cool tho, so I look forward to seeing more of it.

Something similar happened to me. I was so thrilled to find out that the kill counted. Phew.

So I just got bodied by the shadows or Yarnhem (spelling?). I am mad salty, but it was that flame thrower dude and katana dude giving me the blues. Think I am gonna focus on leveling up a bit before I go back and fight them.

Take out one at a time starting with the flame guy, then work your way down.

Yeah that’s what I did on my first encounter and I beat it then, but I had like a almost fully scaled +6 holyswords for that fight and plenty of potions so it wasn’t as crazy.
I found it easiest to take care of the most aggressive shadow (The Katana wielding one) first, then take care of the middle Shadow and then the slowest.
That boss fight lets you think you have things under control, then you get one of them down to low health and it gets all…

Katana > Candle > Flame in that order
