At least most co op partners in even Dark Souls II range between competent and great. In Bloodborne it seems like everyone just gets murderstomped by the stupidest shit. Out of the dozens of co op interactions I’ve had in this game so far, I can probably count on one hand how many DIDN’T die before I did. Makes it seem like it’s not even worth the effort.
I haven’t had any better luck. But ever since Dark Souls II I basically never co-op in my world, only in other people’s.
Tell me about it. When I was summoning randoms for Daughter of The Cosmos none of them bothered to sneak up on her for a free charge move. Half of them won’t use bolt paper for the encounter either.
You gotta remember too Bloodborne is not only essentially the PS4’s Halo CE (the game is getting press and moving units) but pretty Noob friendly and its easy to get into bad habits.
I’m at SL42 I wanna say, killed blood starved beast today Amelia yesterday I think I’m gonna go for the door that requires a password as I believe Amelia had it (im running blind other than boss strats on YT) any one wants to co op im usually on 1030p-2a central time GET AT ME, I may wanna pvpv too for those in my level range pvp looks hella fun
Spoiler
I saw a few different strats for blood starved beast involving pungent blood I couldn’t get any of that to work best thing to do is run up to the area he’s guarding there’s dead body with an antidote on it if you lure him to the opposite side of the room where you come in and sprint for his area before going up there he will eventually slowly walk up and stand where he was with his back turned so you can sneak attack this only works until phase 2 this area is also good because theres the 2 small statues and the larger one you can keep between you and him while still being a small enough area to whiff punish him properly I found in the main lobby it was hard to fight him because he does a lot of wild lunges that moved him very far past the pillars into the sub/ side hallwaysand his hurtbox is small so punishing him or initiating offense from these opportunities was hard ( I was using rifle spear and my thrusts constantly whiffed)
Dude I finally checked out the threaded cane today WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE i’m actually contemplating restarting the whole game now cause I started with the axe and put some points in str to survive till I found good skill weapons didn’t realize the starting skill weapon was so OD.
Threaded Cane is crazy good, but it’s pretty weak. That said, I always have it on me.
I use it because its a good slashing weapon that has nice horizontal R1 that compliments the thrusts of the spear, 2h the spear does give it a slash put its too slow and stamina consuming to be viable for up close combat.
And here I thought I was the only one loving the threaded cane. Bonus points for turning the game into a modern Castlevania.
Threaded Cane is pretty damn good.
Welp, it seems all I have left now is the final boss. Not sure if I wanna finish up some Chalice Dungeons first before I move on into NG+. Probably just gonna pick up any armor sets I missed and then keep going. I’ve been waiting for that Crowfeather Set for far too long.
Hopefully I get the secret ending or whatever.
Pretty sure I killed that Eileen bitch by accident. I never met her in the starting town so I had not idea who she was, then saw 2 hunters near the catheral and immediately went into fuck them mode. Bodied them both pretty easily so I assumed they werent important.
Forget if they were fighting or not but Eileen quest line seems like a pain in the ass. I didnt see any armor so she might be okay but I’m killing her ass on sight because fuck going through hoops I got PVP to do.
I have been using the Threaded Cane almost exclusively.
my first heal parry. seems the window to execute one is when they are reaching for their pocket

also…i found a secret underground area
I messed up the Eileen quest line, but I still managed to finish it without fighting her. Do you need all gestures for a trophy?
I mainly use it for anyone who is too fast for my KirkHammer. The reach is crazy. I’m surprised I like it so much since I only used Greatswords and such in Dark Souls.
Faced the gatling for the first time. Climbed up the ladder and got shot back down. There goes 10,000 echoes. Douche.
Spoiler
Finally took Rom down. I can’t believe it took me this long. For some reason his spider buddies weren’t being assholes this one time. Good riddance.
Right now I’ve been working on my standard build. Mainly focusing on the sawblade and gun that I got at the beginning. I basically dodge then attack because I don have the timing down to pull off visceral attacks consistently
Finally found the boss in this huge ass forest. These assholes caught me off guard a few times… Crazy fight. Had to end it like a boss, though.
Fought Rom, too. Fight was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. When I saw the chunk of damage that first hit took off, I was like .
Edit: Now that I think about it… These entire areas including their bosses were easier than Martyr Logarius(who I still haven’t beaten, btw). WTF?
Just beat the witches. Damn that fight was annoying as shit. Oh well, at least I’m done with that. Happy I beat it on the first try though.
I think I am lost. I went and beat the witches at the end of Hermwick Charmel Lane, but I am not too sure what to do next. Any advice? I feel like I may have went out of order if that is even possible.
