Wow thanks for saving me time and energy finding where he is to kill. I’d be fucking pissed if I didn’t get anything from a bo…oh yeah. Dark Beast Pearl…
Well, it kind of depends but you can only get good blood gems from lower depth dungeons, and you can only get to the lower ones by having completed higher ones generally. You can get alternate versions of weapons that just have different gem slots, but the blood gems are what’s really useful. That and you’ll find runes and stuff too, so there’s definitely a possibility of their being some really good runes further in.
Beating(or even just encountering actually) Paarl does actually allow you to talk to that NPC in Old Yharnam without him aggroing you if you approach from the lantern where you beat Blood-starved Beast, but the only difference between talking to him and killing him is the latter also gets you another gesture. Either way you get the Powder Keg Badge for his weapons though.
Still most optional bosses only give you a chalice or some minor reward. Main reason to fight them is because you want to. Or if you care about trophies and the like I guess
Well I just met Father gascoigne. U got my ass kicked soooooo bad. I was trying to counter with bullets but I just couldn’t get the timing right. I resorted to dodge and attacking with two hit combos, but after I got him down to about 30% health he just bodied me. Not sure if I should just focus on building up souls and upgrading vitality before fighting him again.
So have we decided on any favorite bosses yet? I think so far I’m gonna have to go with the Wet Nurse. Currently getting my shit plowed by it. Ironically, the very first time I tried to take her on I got her down to ONE FUCKING HIT and of course died to a clone she summoned. Now I can’t even get her down to half health.
The design of the boss itself is what gets me, though. I’m a sucker for shadowy cloaked figures and this thing hits the nail on the head. It’s pissing me off to no end but I’ll be damned if it’s not a great boss.
I think Father Gascoigne is still my favorite. Yeah if you learn to counter shot him he’s pretty easy, but fighting him completely without that is a lot of fun. I also really liked fighting Amygdala and Vicar Amelia. Amelia especially has so much freaking character it’s awesome
Anyone have a strategy to fight against the Brian looking enemies that inflict frenzy upon looking at them? I’m trying to get through the area in Mergo’s loft that has to of them and I can’t even one to half health before I get killed by frenzy.
Bring a lot of Sedatives and burst them down as fast as possible. Use Fire/Bolt Paper and stay topped off at all times. It could also help to wear Frenzy-resistant equipment. Decreasing your Insight should help as well.
I managed to get past them by equipping my +200 frenzy resist rune and equipping the ash hunter set (had the highest frenzy resistance of anything I had). I decided to not fight them and made a break for it.
Making it past them and the spiders I found the source of what causes frenzy in Nightmare of Mensis. Looks like mother brain took a break from Metroid to fuck shit up in bloodborne. Now I can safely farm the yetis for twin blood stones. I also found the choir bell and a FUCKING BLOOD ROCK!!
Bank holiday Mondays suck ass, I want my fucking guide. Is it possible to get the arcane spell that fires energy upwards/around you like the one Micolash and the Arcane Hunter uses?
Is there anyway to stun Vicar Amelia with gun shots? I’m using the Holy Blade as my main weapon and still having a hard time adjusting to it’s much slower speed than my previous ones.
