Calculator didn’t seem to work. I moved up to level 67 (the exact level it says I need to be to play with an 83) and we still couldn’t find each other after 3 different password attempts and an attempt with no password at all.
Kind of frustrating. Either a large sum of people still don’t fully understand how the multiplayer works, or the servers are being spotty every now and then. I don’t see why else I’d be having so much trouble finding another player through the password system, let alone randoms running about the world. Maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places for co-op/PVP, but not even being able to connect to Hawkingbird makes me doubt that.

Feeling pretty confident facing against anyone in PVP now. Been bodying fools all day while that boring ass Melee tourney was on spooky’s stream.
As you can see with me facing 2 people both with it active attacking at the same time, Poison is fucking useless. Terrible buff, dont waste your time even in PVP.
Also the Blades of chaos or Mercy or whatever it’s called is WAAAAAY over used and WAAAAAAAYYYY overrated in PVP. Love seeing people with it because they are never gonna fucking hit me. It has that one combo but other than that it has absolutely no range and shit moveset. But for some reason I see it much more often than the far deadlier Blood Axe or Chikage. Hell even the threaded Cane or Saw spear gives me more trouble. I dunno but so far I just bully everyone with the spear, I can zone you out with pokes and you have to respect my range or get ran through eating thrusts on the way in.
Some poor bastard tried to fight me with that slow ass kirks hammer lmao. I wish I had recorded how fast he switched to another weapon before he died.
Well, I’ve co-oped with ExposedD quite a bit but sometimes it still takes ten minutes to connect even with a password. I’ve even had it to where I couldn’t connect at all because of people having weak internet connections, but then it suddenly working 30 minutes later. I don’t know your location but did you both have “worldwide” on for connections? How long did you wait to connect?
Actually, right now Ludwig’s seems to be the most popular weapon. Also, I’m sorry but if you think the Blade of Mercy has a shit moveset then you haven’t really analyzed it or you’re just fighting bad players. Just like every other weapon it has it’s strengths and weaknesses. I don’t know how you feel you can judge a weapon based on seeing it just a few times, it’s never that simple.
We waited at least 5 minutes each time, sometimes ten. I considered the possibility that Hawkingbird may be in a different country after the fact, because I did indeed have my Network settings set to Local. So if he’s in a separate country that may have been the issue.
I’m sure it has it’s benefits because this game was very well put together and it seems from software had put alot of time into PVP balance. This is more than a few times and against quite a few players using magic I don’t even have and shit yet.
But after beating on players for hours I feel it’s pretty trash against the Spear. Say bad players all you want but it’s easy for me to keep them at range with pokes. Try to get your getting pieced up for 30 percent of your health.
Call it a bad match up or whatever but it’s moves seem pretty shit up against the spear. I’ve forced way too many people to switch weapons in order to get in or they straight up have ran away or ragequit on me out of frustration.
Ludwig’s Giant sword is also not hard to beat. Too much recovery on everything it seemingly does. That one I’ll chalk up to bad players until I faced as many people with that as the army with Mercy blades.

Blade of mercy has a dash in stab that comes out a dodge that hits pretty hard considering the weapon and combos out of the weapon, closes the distance pretty well, was great for whiff punishing out of a dodge. It’s a really amazing dash attack.
Weapon from what I heard the fastest attack speed out there, though can’t be buffed.
It could still be a bad matchup vs that spear though or those players just absolutely suck. Anyone with fair bit of fighting game fundamentals should absolutely tear the shit out of someone that has no sense of spacing in a souls game lag aside
I’ve seen dual Blades of mercy stunlock dudes to death. It’s better at it than the spear.

Gonna upload a vid below to show an example of a guy using short blades who did everything in his power to force me fight him in small confined areas so he’d have a better chance of landing hits. Annoying but was effective until I figured his pattern out and went 2 handed on the spear. I thought he was pretty decent at least.

That shit is amazing. it’s the Old Hunter’s Bone. It takes a minimum of 15 arcane to use and consumes 6 bullets but makes your dodge/dash super freaking fast.
