I never liked the design or setting of Dark Souls so I skipped out on them. I still watched an LP of it, and an LP of DS2.
The weapons in those games look so boring compared to the ones in Bloodborne overall, and there are mechanics in Bloodborne that aren’t in those games that I really couldn’t play without.
DaS just never interested me from the start. I did enjoy DeS a little bit though. Beat the Tower Knight though and pretty much called it quits. I’ll probably hook up my PS3 again after I beat Bloodborne and take another run at it.
yeah overall the weapons in this game are a SHIT LOAD more interesting. Visually and moveset wise. Combining two weapons into one solves alot of issues with situational weapons with a strong concept but not amazing for overall use i.e whips
2 handed weapons also having a bit more to their movesets due to having L2 as a separate attack and 2 weapon switch attacks or w.e it’s called coming out of a attack chain.
Backstab/parry mechanic is MUCH more better in this game. Harder to exploit, backstabs having emphasis on using it as a max damage punish and a ranged parry option is a great concept.
Anyways yeah, going to enjoy being able to use most weapons with my build for bloodborne. Though I won’t go much into Arcane I think.
edit NEVERMIND. Apparently Blade of mercy and the holyblades scale off arcane, was interested in blade of mercy and the effects of putting points into arcane looks great. PLUS, 25 arcane seems like a safe amount to invest into the stat. I’ll definitely get ready to invest into it as soon as I get blade of mercy. They finally made the discovery rate stat look interesting.
Currently at 30 Skill/Strength, what cool looking weapons would people recommend to me? All I have is Lugwid’s Holy Blade and it’s just a little boring. I’m looking around for the Scythe weapon that was shown in the trailer but I haven’t yet come across it.
EDIT**
Also, is there a respec system or am I stuck to my single build?
I’d like to know if there’s a respec option like in DS2 too if it’s a item or npc or what not. No spoilers to where and when to get it yet but it’d be nice to know its there.
I wouldn’t mind rebuilding my character for another playthrough though.
I’m still trying to get the Holy Blade, and you’re calling it boring… lol. I’d recommend the Blades of Mercy, Chikage, or Threaded Cane(SERIOUSLY slept on). The Scythe weapon is the Burial Blade, I believe. You get it end-game.
No respec
I’m just gonna make a new character specifically for PvP and use that dupe glitch to get everything in line for it.
What level were you guys when you went to Cainhurst castle? Is it safe to go after beating Vicar Amelia? Because I just got to the forest and I know the entrance or required item is somewhere in there.
I want the Chikage but I don’t want to get murderstomped trying to get it, leave, and never be able to return to the area for some reason or another.
Just bodied Vicar Amelia… I swear, between her movements and that hammer, it felt like I was playing Monster Hunter. You can see it during the fight, too. @Pterodactyl, check out these SICK ground pound dodges lol. Even point blank at times.
^Why I tagged you. Not even to gloat either, but because I was surprised myself after hearing about your issues with that attack(even after I told you how to deal with it). It’s all good, though.
Again, I wasn’t showing you how to beat her or how to dodge the attack. I was just posting my experience with the fight and I felt like you would’ve enjoyed seeing the parts I tagged you about.
If it did, I apologize. I was just excited about how the fight went.
