Is physical DEF more important or Blunt and Thrust DEF? Alot of armor sets in early game have too much give and take with those stats.
Who cares what anyone else thinks if it’s working out great for you? Fuck em. To answer your question from everywhere I’ve been on multiple sites and youtube the Blood Axe is consensus best starter weapon. Hell I told everyone l that earlier in the thread just by playing with it for so long I never felt the need to ever touch the other starters. Until Rifle Spear got unlocked. Move set and raw damage is too good for a starter weapon lol I expect a nerf.
Also just found out the 10k scarf is needed to progress smh. This fucking game’s NPC are so busy trying to sound crytic and cool you cant tell what the fuck you’re ever supposed to do. Thought I was the only moron till I saw how many other people beat thd chalice before Grand gate.
I’m at Nightmare Frontier. This seems to be the designated PvP spot as a bell maiden ringing a sinister bell spawned when I entered the place. Thankfully I killed her before anyone showed up. This place looks to be just as big as the Woods.
I just unlocked the shortcut to get down to the bridge to fight the Cleric Beast. Should I go level up before that? Or should I run down there and slam my face into him until he dies?
I could have entered NG+ yesterday but i decided to stick around and look around across all maps for things i might have missed.
Here are my favorite things about Bloodborne :
Spoiler
I am in loaf with Yharnam , makes me wish i was born 200 years ago
I absolutely love how skill-based PVP is (unlike DS2 in particular , which makes casuals look OP)
The bosses have all been really challenging and exciting (maybe with exception of one Mego****)
The feeling of how unlimited the game is (probably played 60 hours now , don’t think i’ve seen nearly everything yet)
Some of the enemies are genuinely intimidating/unsettling (excellent design)
Here are some of the things i didn’t really like about Bloodborne :
Spoiler
Just some technical issues. I randomly got some split second freezes and i had
some minor audio glitches too. Nothing severe though. I’m used to the loadingtimes
from DS1 on console so that’s not really something that bothers me , it’s still a legit complaint from others tho.
This is the biggest , best , and most beautiful game From has ever made.
Anyone who talks down on the game is that kind of person who never made it past the cleric beast and still decided to post impressions/reviews/etc
Currently sitting outside of Blood Starved Beast, trying to get a friend in so we can take the thing on for the first time together. I find boss fights a lot more interesting when you play with a friend, but it does lower the overall difficulty. I’ll save the endgame bosses for the 1v1s I suppose. So far the game has been great, and the weapon of choice for me has become the Hammer/Sword trick weapon, great combination of swift and strong attacks, perfect for the STR/SKI build I’m gunning for. Hopefully I’ll find some dope weapons later on that are a little more exotic in their design, because it’s FromSoft I honestly expect something akin to a katana at some point, just a hunch as they love their damn katanas.
So um can anyone tell me how the digital soundtrack works? I haven’t redeemed my code yet.
If it’s just to listen on the PS4 itself then i doubt i’ll ever redeem it.
Wrecked Father Guacamole the other night after a few more tries and then got pendant lady on my third attempt. Killed the gatling asshole last night thanks to @Pterodactyl. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of doing that sooner. Just beat the Blood Starved Beast on the first try while drunk.
This game is too damn awesome. Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls never really clicked with me, but I just love this game. The axe is so much fun, the enemies are so sick, and the environments are even better. Was kinda regretting buying my PS4 the last couple months but this game totally justifies the purchase.
Now, I’m going to continue to drink and try not to die. Cheers!
Probably you didn’t find the weapon you liked in DeS and DS1. DeS had really fun STR weapons similar to the axe though that Hunter’s Axe is like multiple great STR weapons put to one.
I probably wouldn’t nearly have liked the series as much if I was stuck to sword and board without knowledge of the other weapons.
