Just remember that the rune that allows you to get health back with viscerals heals you like four times the normal amount on Orphan of Kos. Use this to your advantage in phase one where it’s easier to parry him, giving you an ample amount of Blood Vials for phase two.
Finally killed OoK with my blood tinge character. It was actually a pretty awesome fight, came down to him with a sliver of health and me with so little health that anything he did would have killed me. Popped him with my very last bullet and killed him. I love those dramatic moments that happen sometimes in these games.
I decided I wanted to start a new psn account but platinumed BB on an old one. Had to remedy that so I got the platinum for a second time because I’m a god damn maniac.
Disagree. I pretty much exclusively watch lobos jr, and hes a great player. One of the top souls series players out there. Him having an issue with bosses doesnt exist. He has bloodborne ng+7 runs on his channel too. All he does is play these games.
I think its interesting when people find out tricks to beat bosses in different or easier ways, then just being leveled up enough, going in, dodging, and slashing. It shows creativity.
I didn’t deny that he’s a great player. Never even heard of the dude before. I made a statement on how I think it’s funny the lengths people will go to to avoid conventionally fighting an enemy in these games. Like when people would just sit at the back of the room in Demon’s Souls and throw poison knives at King Allant for half an hour until he died. Or how people in Bloodborne will summon a phantom on the other side of the boss fog so the phantom can proceed to just wail on the boss without aggroing him.
I agree it’s fun to see people find different ways to combat these bosses. I don’t agree, however, that spamming a boss with consumables is somehow “creative” or “original”. People have been cheesing these bosses since Demon’s Souls, there’s nothing new there.
You don’t have to fight him to get into the depths?
I tried to do the dung pie trick once but I couldn’t get it to work. I just like the idea that the bosses are vulnerable to the same stuff that you are sometimes.
It’s fun to try to break down a game and find different ways to clear areas/bosses. Cheesing bosses is nothing new, but I believe LobosJr was the first the find a way to cheese Orphan, which is why the video is significant/interesting.
I suck testicles at this game. I tried it and I’m very fond of it, but I frustrate so easily that it’s kind of a hard sell. The last time I played it, I had just managed to make my way into Old Yharnam after killing Vicar Amelia when somebody shot me off of a bridge with a motherfucking minigun like he’s the fucking Heavy Weapons Guy or something. That was months ago and I’ve not played it since. I’m sure there’s a way to easily deal with him (it could be a her too, I guess), but I choose to believe that Mother Magnolia breathed her last that day. I’m thinking of getting back into the game, though, so before I do that, I’d like to know: can I just stick with the Threaded Cane all the way through the game? I’d really like that. That weapon is too badass.
Is it hurting me to just use the one weapon? I just haven’t found any other weapons that really do it for me in terms of gameplay or aesthetic, but there is that extra right hand slot there that feels… weird not to use for something or other. Does anyone have any recommendations for solid skill weapons, preferably accessible ones that compliment the Threaded Cane? I was thinking of trying to get the Blade of Mercy, maybe.
Edit: Evelyn/Hunter’s Torch left hand, Threaded Cane/Reiterpallasch right hand? Skill/bloodtinge build? Seems like it works.
