Bloodborne with parkour, Item Crush, and a whip with actual range and no “ay lmao” crap, and more speed would be awesome.
What have you done so far? have you done the upper cathedral ward? Two bosses up there for you to fight. Done ask the nightmares? Got all the oath runes? There are 4 of them.
Otherwise i say buy the dlc its fucking awesome.
Game is said to be the shortest of the Souls games, but persoanlly it didnt feel any longer or shorter then Demons Souls to me, and with the DLC probably is longer now. Its been a while since i played Demons tho.
If you’re really into being challenged, Chalice Dungeons are your best bet. The hardest content is randomly generated dungeons and even normal enemies can one shot you if you’re not careful. Also, check out the DLC before you beat the game; it’s super fun and the most challenging content in the game outside of chalice dungeons.
I have played this game solo all the time, but decided to use the small resonant bell to help someone else. Got into a game with two other guys and were killing it in the Hunters Nightmare. The frame rate goes to hell but it was fun.
Shit I think I missed that area completely. 
Is Ask the Nightmares another optional area? If it is I don’t think I did it either. What does getting all the Oath Runes do? Is it tied to one of the game endings/trophies or?
@Sonicabid - Crotchpuncha just typoed. He’s referring to the Nightmare Frontier, an optional area you can reach about a quarter of the way through the game.
The oath runes are sorta this game’s covenants. They go into the fourth rune slot you have tied to your character, and they bestow various bonuses and affect multiplayer. You get two of them by finishing character quests (which, if you’re playing the game blind, you probably need to go into NG+ to do), one of them from an NPC in the Forbidden Woods, and one of them in Cainhurst (you went to the area AFTER the boss, right?).
Yea was supposed to be “all of the nightmares.” In the base game there are two.of them, Nightmare of Mensis and Nightmare Frontier. With the DLC the count goes up to 3 with the Hunters Nightmare.
Not sure if I did the Nightmare Frontier, I think I did? I’ll have to check later. I finished Mensis and the following area with the Nurse. After that I went through Castle Cainhurst(reading up on the area I missed an NPC there that gives you a weapon after you beat the boss.)
If I have all the items to get the “good” ending, can I toss one of the items in the stash at Hunter’s Dream to get one of the shittier endings?
I started up Scholar again. Dat 60 FPS is so nice coming off of Bloodborne. I keep trying to dodge everything, I kept forgetting that I had a shield that absorbs ~90% damage or so.
You have to consume three of the special-ending items to get the extra boss and ending, so you can get whichever ending you want if you still have’em.
You actually have to consume the items for the ending, it won’t matter if they are just in your inventory. I don’t think they carry over into NG+ so if you are going for like a completionist thing I wouldn’t worry about it.

Got ending 1 where I was executed by Death himself Gerhman.
Got ending 2 where I refused Gerhman and ended up fighting him. The music that plays during this boss fight and the fight itself combined with the area you’re in(and its aesthetics) was amazing.
Now off to that Nightmare area cpuncha was talking about, then from there I’m not sure. Awesome game. :tup:
Make sure you fight the hidden boss too.
Also, if you want the Platinum you’ll have to invest A LOT of time in the Chalice Dungeons.
Way too overleveled for the Nightmare Frontier. I ran through the entire zone in 10 minutes. 1-2 shot every enemy there, 3-4 shot the two hunters, and Amygdala died in seconds. I think she hit me once.
Was it Logarius? I took him out last night. 
Edit: Got all three Umbilical Cords. I thought I messed up and lost Arianna since she wasn’t at the Cathedral Ward, but thankfully she was in some sewer ashamed of her Rosemary’s Baby. Going to go for the “best” ending later or tomorrow. :tup:
Doing some research all I have left for game content is The Choir area. I think I’m missing a few hunter tools, but other than that, it seems like there’s nothing left to do but Chalice Dungeons.
Finally platinum’ the game. May it RIP, one of the goats I’m def gonna miss it. I fucked up to I accidentally deleted a save I had for the other ending and now I’m in NG+2 lol and I’m not starting all the way over again for pvp bruh lol but ya dope can’t wait for ds3 hopefully some bloodborne shines through it
I looked at my trophies the other day and I realized I’m only 4 trophies away from a platinum.
-Kill Queen of Yharnam
-Acquire all trick weapons
-Accept Gehrman’s Final Request
-Defeat Gerhman without consuming any umbilical cords
Fuck. That means I’m gonna have to do at least two more playthroughs. I dunno if I wanna bring my main into NG+ 5 just for those two trophies, so I might just make two new characters lol.
The other two I could do on my main I guess. Getting the trick weapons will be easy: at the most I can only be missing two or three. But there’s A FUCK TON of grinding I have to do to make the 3 separate chalice dungeons I need to get the materials to make the chalice that Queen Yharnam is in.

Is that jump glitch to iosefka’s clinic still a thing? Saw people streaming earlier and they were doing for their new characters. Thought it got patched out?
Probably just playing the game offline with no updates.
