Yeah so not only did I make that crow bitch hostile(think I MIGHT have shot her once fighting that hunter in the tomb, fuck u game), but now I am somehow ended up in the hunters knifhtmare with all these strong as fuck niggas that all got more live ass weapons than me even though are just wack ass villager reskins. Fuckem, they dropping some strong gems and I think I can get this cthulu looking ass gorilla to slaughter them all for me easy like. Dood is a beast.

I always kill Eleen The Crow just to get her badass chest piece. She’s hard early on in the game, but its worth it.

Her chest piece, with the Bone Ashen legs and hands, and the Yahar’Gul Hood though…shit is godlike. Combine it with the Burial Blade and you look like the scourge of death himself.

hour and half on [details=Spoiler]Ludwig, still cant beat him. Once he pulls the sword out he gets way harder. The hitbox on that thing seems fucked, dodging it reliably is fuckin tough. He nukes Valtr pretty soo. after whipping out to, so then all his attention is on me and im fucked. The range on the sword is stupid, and it shoots projectiles? Rediculous lol. Will have to try more after work. [/details]

Is no one co-oping by the way? Been rjnging my beckoning bell pretty consistantly but have only gotten one hit from someone. Otherwise im just standing sround doing nothing.

Anyone know if there are missable weapons in the dlc?

There are. I can tell you which ones and to what extent if you want.

[details=Spoiler]Moonlight Blade can be missed if you don’t kill Ludwig’s head after defeating him as a boss. It will disappear after you progress more into the game. Make sure you talk to him first for some flavor before killing him though (also try talking to him in Church garb).

Simon’s Blade can be missed if you don’t complete the Harrowed Hunter’s sidequest (I think). Talk to him in the Hunter’s Nightmare and tell him you’re fascinated with nightmares. You’ll see him pop up in zones after certain events (defeating Ludwig, raising the stairs in Research Hall). Once you reach the second lantern in the Fishing Hamlet, you’ll see him there and he will give you his weapon and a key to a cellar.

I think you can miss Bloodletter if you don’t complete the Harrowed Hunter’s sidequest, as you need the key he gives you at the end to kill Brador in his prison cell, who drops Bloodletter.[/details]

That’s it I think. The rest of the weapons you will likely find normally by just playing through the game.

I didn’t realize this was possible. I killed him after the last DLC boss… but I admittedly killed off the first hunter npc i ran into so maybe that’s part of his questline?

Dumb question but if you die and leave a pile of blood echoes somewhere do the enemies become actively more aggressive in order to prevent you from claiming them or something because it sure seems that way. Dudes that normally chill and let you sneak them are all of a sudden doing 3 hit death combos in shit lol. Seems to happen every time…

Nope. Sometimes enemies pick up your echoes though and you have to kill the enemy that picked them up. They will have glowing eyes if they have your echoes.

Oh yeah I know all about them claiming your echoes lol. I mean the AI specifically going ape shit on you in that situation, like regular dudes tanking blows that would normally stagger them and adding extra hits to their attacks.

this isn’t a mechanic, but what is a interesting one that you might be experiencing is that as your insight gets higher enemies get stronger and their AI adapts learning new attacks and combos.

The only thing Insight affects in terms of enemies is some of the church guys with the scythes or lanterns get new/modified attacks. That’s it.

Also, if you lack any Insight, the ghosts in the Witch Of Hemwick boss fight don’t even spawn.

Having lots of Insight during the One Reborn fight also opens up unique dialougue from the boss himself.

You also build up Frenzy quicker from the Lanturns the more Insight you have stocked up.

Those glasses he’s wearing are the Spectacles of Eros. They don’t appear to be working however.

The doll also goes back to being lifeless if you have no insight. (or just low?) You can still use blood echos, you just can’t talk to it. That or I broke the game. shrugs

Could be a time zone thing. However, I’ve found that when I ring my small bell I get summoned pretty quickly. I suspect there are a lot of people ringing for help and very few offering it.

Setting your network settings to worldwide will generally help you do coop whenever. Connection might not be the best but it’s good enough.

Yes, doll becomes lifeless again at 0 Insight. You can still channel Blood Echoes to level up, but that’s it. She’ll be back if you get more than 1 Insight again.

Oh yeah, and the music changes in the Hunter’s Dream if you have the right amount of Insight.

Reminds me of how the tone changes in The Nexus towards end game in Demon’s Souls. :love:

i hadn’t realized this… i just saw it happen to the church guys and assumed it was with all the enemies… kinda bummed now that you told me that.

Servers down for emergency maintenance. Apparently there was an issue in relation with cooping with someone with DLC gave you access to the DLC, even if you didn’t pay for it. D’oh!
