The only weapons that scale well with Bloodtinge are Evelyn and Chikage. Bloodtinge scaling from Reiterpallasch and Rifle Spear only affect the gunfire portion and their max BT scaling is D and B, respectively. It’s really not worth it since you will be sacrificing points from Vitality and Endurance for Bloodtinge.
And imo End makes Str weapons 1000% better.
Oh Ebrietas, you’re such a garbage boss.
Wish I could hit Agree twice on that one. I was genuinely raging when I fought her.
Using the circle strafe strat seems to work pretty well on her. Sometimes she just smacks you around though.
Yea ive been flip flopping between the circle strafe strat and the bait head slam strat. Both are equally effective, its just a matter of how bullshit her hit boxes feel like being that run. Her getting to use A Call Bayond basically from off screen is pretty bullshit to, and beating her sometimes depends on how much she feels like using it. One time last night she cast it 3 times in a row lol.
I really think her swiping tentacle hit boxes are fucked tho, and considering the damage they do…fuckin nuts lol.
Oh and being close to her does damage to you cuz why not right?
Oh yeah, about Erbietas.
I was fighting her in the Chalice Dungeons the other day, and I had about 2 or 3 hits left to kill her, but when she used A Call Beyond she suddenly just died. Does that move hurt her or something?
You just need to be aware of when she’s using A Call Beyond and start hoofing it. I feel like her hardest attack to dodge is her charge, but she rarely does it when you’re close to her anyways. RNG definitely plays a part in all boss fights, but more so for Ebrietas I’d say since her hitboxes are huge.
Fuck Headless Bloodletting Beast, by the way. lol
nah, STR/BT is just a cannon build. Cannon has such high natural AR that even though it’s BT scaling is low, the actual result is significant. Hopefully there will be a STR/BT weapon in the expansion though.
BTW guys, bowblade is a SKL weapon with some ARC but I would imagine the ARC scaling is only for bow mode, not sword mode. Still, should be another sweet weapon for SKL/ARC builds.

no, he said EBRIETAS died to it, not him.
First time I beat Ebrietas I just parked myself between it’s two ass tentacles. Anytime it tried jumping away I simply ran with it and positioned again.
I still don’t understand A Call Beyond’s damage. Wether it’s Ebrietas or Micholas, sometimes one stray bullet one shots me, other times I take multiple hits from it and it only does about 50% damage.
Keep in mind that you take bonus damage when you’re in recovery frames of dodging.
Cannon build doesn’t seem to be legit though? I mean the most shots you can get out of it is three, so I don’t see how it’s sustainable. Might work as a gimmick in PvP, but I don’t see how it’s that effective for PvE.

Can’t you use blood bullets or whatever the fuck to get upto 6 shots? plus if you use the quick silver+ and health+ from v.attack runes then it becomes more than viable

yeah, well, I didn’t say it was a great build lol
ONE MONTH TO GO BOYS
Some new info: DLC can be accessed first half of the game via an item you get in the Hunter’s Dream called Eye of Blood-addled Hunter. What constitutes as the “first half of the game” is what I’m not sure of. Amelia? Byrgenwerth? In any case, the Eye of Blood-addled Hunter will allow you to access the DLC content, but it’s still unclear how and will be left to the players to figure out.
Will you guys use an existing character to explore the DLC or make a new one to explore the DLC as you progress through the original game?
I have a Skill/Arcane character sitting at 180 that I’ve been using since launch. Definitely gonna be using that one considering how well he’ll be able to make use of the Bowblade.
If I had to guess what they meant by “halfway through the game”, I’d probably gusss Byrgenwerth. Probably around the same time the Blood Moon descends upon Yharnam. I’m really curious to know how exactly you acess it, though.
I kind of consider the Forbidden Woods a halfway point. But maybe because things really start picking up at that point.
I have 3 builds all right before the final boss, gonna use those. I made the mistake during DS2 of only having a NG+ save near the beginning of the game when the Sunken King DLC hit.
