Joined a random premade game, where people were using voice chat extensively. I gotta say, shit got real and extremely fun! People going fucking tactical over this shit, LoL!
Balancing this game is going to be a shitshow if they don’t just split up balance priorities for console and PC. Right now a big chunk of the current meta that I’ve seen on streams is that McCree players just aren’t missing heads, and he shuts down a lot of choices by himself even after nerfs. To the point where people are playing less Pharah who was much more popular initially, and by extension playing less Mercy. That’s not something you have to deal with on console, and if you make him too weak he’ll feel useless outside of competitive play.
To be fair, everyone should have a PC that can run Overwatch on minimal settings. The game is designed to be as accessible as possible. Potato PCs should be able to run the game with little issue.
So from what I understand, AOE in Overwatch does full damage as long as you’re in the blast radius? That seems very strange to me, considering that isn’t normally the case in most FPS titles. Pretty annoying to instantly die to Junkrat’s ult even though you barely got clipped by the AOE.
How big do you feel Overwatch will be? I’m thinking about making it the primary game i stream on Twitch. But if it’s super saturated i may have to reconsider.
As someone that enjoyed Destiny MP for a while, can anyone with experience in that as well tell me how they feel about this game relative to that? Or if you feel there can be literally no comparison aside from guns, that’s fine, just gimme your thoughts.
…Genji, Tracer, Bastion, and D.va look the most fun to me. I played Hunter and tried to focus on using blink and mid-short range in general, and I have always love Mechwarrior, so yeah lol
I feel like it will be pretty big. There hasn’t really been an enjoyable, not super serious FPS game since TF2… and Overwatch has potential to be pretty neat in possible competitive play (I think the current game modes are kinda jokes for competitive play though).
Mei ult needs a slight nerf I think. Once you’re caught in it, even on the edge of the AOE, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be frozen. Maybe an AOE nerf, time needed to be frozen, or movement speed slow change to make it a bit less harder to deal with.
