Lmfao @ this chapter. I knew going in like damn sternritter about to get wrecked but damn…Yama Scorpion’d his ass something serious. Thought i saw ed boon say toasty for a sec but it was just the manga panda watermark.
I always clowned the1st VC especially after Ichigo solo’d him but now i sorta wish we saw him do his thing earlier, just to give us the impression of oh yea u cant fuck with CC, you can barely touch his VC.
Now I get way CC had to give the personal ass whomp.
(Yeah, I really don’t think anyone expected the Overkill not to die in one chapter, especially since he didn’t seem very bright and he was against Captain Commander. And, yeah, it would make sense that they have no idea to use the Bankai they’ve stolen; Byakuya still had no reason to lose his in the first place, though.)
I have to admit, I actually enjoyed this chapter for the flashback stuff even though it was, as usual, likely decompressed more than it needed to be. I also rather enjoyed Yamamoto’s face on the second to last page that might as well be captioned “You. Are. Fucked.” Seriously, I think that’s the first time we’ve ever seen Yamamoto actually angry.
Anyway, it was nice because we knew so little about Yamamoto and Sasakibe…even if this flashback likely contradicts at least a couple of things and Kubo doubtless didn’t think of Sasakibe’s Bankai until (long) after the Soul Society arc. I mean, given how easily Sasakibe got his shit pushed in by Ichigo all the way back in the arc and how his rapier release seems like it has absolutely not to do with his Bankai release unlike pretty much everyone else we’ve seen so far aside from Soi Fon’s stupid Bankai.
Meh. I would have been nice to know more about the guy while he was alive rather than just as an afterthought.
Much respect on the Vice Commander getting a flashback…now I wish he didn’t die like that.

Dude used a point blank Chaotic Flame and destroyed him. 
The, “you are already dead” look had me laughing. Same about his VC. That flashback contradicts so much shit. I wonder if Urahara helped him out any.
u know CC and kenpatch are going to get their ass kicked anyways and ichigo is going to come and save everyone with a new shinigami/hollow/quincy merger. that sword we saw in hueco mundo is obviously from ichigo’s dad obviously.
The Sword was actually Ichigo’s mom.

Well that was a fucking dope chapter. Im satisfied for this week.
So I do want to get back into Bleach again, but I stopped reading/watching it after the fillers (I didn’t even bother watching it online because I was into other stuff). Then again, because of the wiki’s and other clips/episodes I’ve seen, I kinda now what happened before the XCution arc. Should I just read the entire series or just start off on XCution?
You can probably skip the XCution arc, or just read the chapter where Ichigo gets his powers back so you can see the old shinigang.
Thank you. I know that they got a new captain to replace Aizen, but I don’t know where that happened. I just don’t feel like reading everything again, though apparently I can skip the Bount and Masamura arcs.
