OK, Some things I want to get off my chest.
Holy fuk what shitty writing this is. The difference in power between the captains and Quincys are ridiculous to the point that the quincy are merely just running over fodders it seems. Only with bankai was CC able to take out a Quincy King clone, that off panel bodied Kenpachi. Then we get this Buzz-B character that shits all over CC by offsetting CC flames with his. Right, CC has the most powerful fire-type Zanpakuto and strongest of all Soul Society. His flames mirrored the fire from the sun. God damn if BuzzB base strength is this strong why the hell do they need to steal bankais? Ands hes only letter “H” which makes him 7th in rank.
Moving on. So we get the mood of captains that lost their Bankai. Yes it sucked for them but thats ok because Kubo wants to show the captains have the will to train and work around this until the next invasion. Invasion comes and then the Captains (Son Feng & Hitsugaya) show off their new powerup, Awesome! Spoke too soon. Next chapter they get stomped like fodders. Buzz only used 2 fingers, he still have 3, 4, & 10 fingers to show off… at least make an effort to show that the captains indeed leveled up and are putting up a stance. Ok it looks bad now and the team lost two captains. Looks like some other captains will get some screen time and maybe just maybe show that they can pull it off without bankai. Nope, just got call that we can get your Bankai back… great you just wasted 10 chapters of written tension that was developed based on the “no Bankai” tool set up for this arc.
With Bankai back each captain will get an unexplained power up, only to be stomped in the end by the Quincys when they activate blue vein. Its inevitable no matter what happens its going to be Ichigo and co. + kenpachi that will save everyone.
It isn’t fault of the Quincies that they have a very wise person as their king to lead and prep them.
Bach and his Quincies were defeated and almost exterminated by the Shinigami before. It is fair that to pay them back, he preps and do some upgrades as he did with ditching Letz Stilt for Vollstanding and in the case of Ultron, using high tech war machines as tools for their cause.
Bach wants to win and it shows in his army preparation. Nothing wrong with that.
Make up some more vaccum ice bullshit Hitsusuckass. 
Quincy only prep was to remove the caps bankai which meant a sure in for them. To be honest, the way its written the caps are severely handicapped without bankai its like a 10-0 matchup and with bankai maybe its 5-5. And 3 of caps bankai (hitsugaya, sui-feng, kenpachi) dont do shit for them.
Besides the Bankai medallions, putting their HQ inside the Seiretei was genious in many ways.
Also, we still don’t know Bach’s purpose for the War Potentials.
So far, the Shinigami are always one step behind Bach’s schemes.

this was a pretty good chapter after reading through this thread. Somehow I got a feeling Shunsui’s bankai will be some real broken shit that counters whatever the Q’s got up on them. (but of course not till the bankai seals are lifted.)
I can’t say we all didn’t expect the bankai seal to stay broken but that was rather quick. Either Kubo’s really rushing for a higher purpose or he’s really rushing to finish shit up. Still think it’s sad that this was the perfect time to actually develop some primary characters to do something outside of scream “BANKAI!!!” when shit hit the fan. Maybe the Qs will preptime Urahara this one time or maybe they’ll still get wiped with their Bankai.

I’m curious the history of Aizen and Bach. They must have met before so Bach can see Aizen’s shikai.
Not necessarily. It’s not clear what happened with Aizen’s sword. Back when Ichigo was fighting HoHo-Q Aizen, Aizen’s sword was fused to his arm at one point. After he got hit with the spirit bomb, his sword was back to normal. He was holding it in his hand again, but it was disappearing. Aizen is currently strapped to a chair with electrical tape. So where’s his sword? Did it disappear out of existence? Did he permanently absorb it into his body? Nobody knows. For all we know, the conditions for seeing his shikai may be completely different now. Instead of them meeting in the past with JB seeing it back then, maybe he got put under the spell when he first went to go see Aizen in prison. Maybe the act of just looking at Aizen puts you under the spell now.
Plus, when would they (JB and Aizen) have met? Hasn’t JB been sealed up for 900 some-odd years?
Or, since the Quincies have been hiding in the shadows the whole time (watching the shinigami shower and shit, little creeps), they may have seen it along with everyone else when Aizen demonstrated it to everyone.
Before they left, Haschwald said JB couldn’t stay out of the shadow realm past a certain amount of time. JB said Aizen had messed with his perception of time. How? Aizen doesn’t have his sword with him, at least not physically. That’s another thing that’s never been clear: Does Aizen have to be physically holding KS to use the hypnosis? I’m going with the theory that KS might be embedded in him at this point.
Kenpachi reigns supreme in times like these.
Other stuff:
As I’m re-reading the chapter where JB and Ichigo fight I notice two things: 1) Aizen is still manipulating things where Ichigo is concerned. JB goes to chat with Aizen, who delays him without him even catching on until it’s too late, causing JB to run out of time before he can body Ichigo and take him back to Quincy HQ. Just as planned? 2) Something is up with Haschwald in that scene. JB asks him, “Bro, if you knew I was out of time, why didn’t you say anything?” Haschwald’s reply was kind of a bullshit answer. “I knew that trying to stop you would be useless.” Yeah, but look at JB’s face on the next page. That’s the “Nigga, I’m watchin’ you” face. JB played it off and basically said, “Whatever”, but the implication is that Haschwald sat there and didn’t say shit about the time limit, basically guaranteeing JB wouldn’t have time to take Ichigo away.

I was giving the benefit of the doubt that even if Aizen didn’t have his sword, he could still use his Shikai. Along with everything else, that’s already broken. If he absorbed his sword so he can use his Shikai whenever, he’s worse than any other Shikai (possibly bankai) we’ve seen.
