Aizen is percieved as ‘perfect’. His word is the ‘law’ here. He said “It’s almost as if her power rejects reality”. That does NOT mean that’s what it does.
And honestly, even if it does, though the Scarlett Witch pulled a ‘wtf’ move out her hat with the ‘no mutants’ schtick…overall she was a pretty mediocre tier character…only of value when the story needed that random shit…built in deus ex.
This chick is no different, her sole purpose in the series is to allow Kubo the freedom to do whatever he wants and undo what he views as not good for the long term. She’s not broken. She has a freakish ability that amounts to nothing more than Life 2, the rest of her shit gets easily destroyed by low-tier ‘everything’. If her powers were truly broken, she would have shut down SOMEONE…but when was the last time she won a fight or did some shit besides heal? And even her healing isn’t some godlike technique - it still takes time…thus she isn’t some mega-healer that makes her team invincible.
When’s the last time Orihime has ATTEMPTED to win a fight?
It’s typical Bleach. A person’s ability is only as good as their imagination and their mindset with said ability. Thinking inside the box, barely scratching the surface of abilities, this is how Bleach works. I mean, look at how many times Ichigo had to be taught how to use his own skills. Look at how the Captains are fighting without their Bankais. Perfecting abilities they didn’t give a second thought to. Using new tactics with old skills. Learning that a skill is a lot more powerful than they initially gave credit for.
Orihime does fall in line with this.
As for Aizen. A, I didn’t even remember that he was the one that talked about Orihime’s abilities until you pointed it out. I doubt most other people here did as well. So unless you also think Aizen has a subconscious effect on us to where his word is law without fail, even if we don’t remember he said it, that’s moot. And B, again, it’s called exposition. In this instance, he’s giving exposition and his thoughts on what he believes Orihime’s abilities are. You’re right, they could very well be wrong. However, considering that soon after they showed her reviving Loly from getting her head blown off, and the fact that absolutely no one has even attempted to rebuff him, what would be the point of Aizen being wrong? Kubo wouldn’t have even bothered writing that in the first place. He could’ve just had Aizen say “She’s a remarkable healer, surpassing our own abilities in that regard. She would be helpful to have around and to keep away from the enemy due to that”. THAT’S IT. Exposition that makes just as much sense, everyone buys it, we move on.
You have a problem with people putting Aizen on a pedestal and even liking him as a character? Or him being “law” around here? Fine. But no matter what you believe, that has nothing to do with this situation.
how many times were they stalling for her to hurry up?
she’s too busy paying attention to the fight or other things in life that all that extra thinking power put towards why they’re fighting to begin with, could be put forth to actually making her healing abilities unmatched.

I just don’t think she’s broken. It’s beyond ‘potential’ - its that her potential will NEVER be close to being realized. She’ll get ‘one’ good block in, and based on the spoilers for this week…

Hitsu was fucked up…and the HM group is mentioned for ‘next week’, so I assume she is the deus ex again to keep Hitsu from dying
I mean looking at the ‘potential’ wagon, it hasn’t really been as lopsided as @Saitsu is saying. Certain characters may not be maximized, but everyone functions close to their true capacity. Hitsu abused his bankai, and since losing it he has focused on the control/details element of it instead of ‘the time’ - it wasn’t about unrealized potential, just a different focus. Even the series hero - Ichigo, his abilities thus far are just straight forward, his victories are through over-powering…so his ‘ceiling’ is tied directly to his potential which is tied to power he’s unlocked thus far. It’s not like Naruto where he has some broken power that he doesn’t ‘obviously’ use to its fullest…he’s faster/stronger/ and can throw a black projectile.
I say that to say - people are what they are in this series. Short of typical story leveling up - people function at or near their potential*.

Going back to Orihime, it’s not even about ‘attempting’ to win, but as @NickRocks pointed out - her shit is always getting busted ANYWAYS. She has a great power that she uses to great effect, but in the scheme of things its just not ‘broken’. Even when it comes to ‘restoring’ people/things there are limits on her abilities and effectiveness.
Out of all the people in the manga the one that scares me is Kisuke. The guy still has untold mysteries about him even with a flashback arc. Plus like Orihime he’s Azien approved.
You know you are completely fucked when Sternritters are tagging each other in for their finish move. This is the type of shit that gets me sooo hyped I still dont get why the Arrancar Arc couldnt be like this with capts getting wrecked left and right.
Hmm was it a smart move for Shadow CC to target Haschwaltz? I mean granted if you can contain and or defeat him that will give the gotei a huge advantage.
I swear sometimes even though Urahara is my fav character he be pissing me off just creating shortcuts in his spare time. Like dude the captains needed their bankai’s restored like yesterday.
On top of that if its a method like when Ichigo got his in 3 days then the capts are gonna need some time that they dont have right now. Oh well still waiting on Urahara bankai wonder what broken shit benehime does.
Real talk these chapters have to be animated cause i can almost hear some of the classic music we’ve heard in my head while reading these chapters.
