Hitsu won’t become CC, but neither will Ichigo. It’s been established Hitsu WILL become insanely strong, CC admits Hitsu’s bankai will probably be more powerful than his.
As much as I don’t like his character, we should all agree he’ll be good years (a century?) down the line. Right now, he does look like an average/below average captain but will show signs why he’s considered a prodigy.
