For me it was just that he came off as a boring typical child prodigy character. Ice powers didnt help his case either. Then just the wild inconsistencies(but thats bleach for ya to a point) with his power. Dude struggled against one of Grimmjow’s fraccion. Then He struggled against Luppi(sp?) and Kubo is going to sit here and tell me hes on par with Halibel?? GTFO. That panel of him getting split in half should of been real.
Again, i dont mind him as much anymore but during the SS arc and Espada he was very annoying.
I’m still assuming the hit didn’t land somehow, but if it did, Hitsugaya just used a plot armor reinforced blade to negate blut vene, which is complete BS
To be fair, every time that he struggled on the real world was because his power was sealed and he could use only 20% of it, it is like that for every Captain and Vice-Captain
Except the part where after the first issues with the Fraccion they just stopped limiting them when they entered the Real World until the Aizen conflict was over.

We EXPECT Ichigo to asspull, he’s the main character. We don’t like it a lot…but in this genre you have to accept it or you’re reading the wrong shit.
We don’t like Toshiro because he asspulls like a main character when he’s nowhere near one and he gets praised as a tactical genius and all the while he’s an emo asshole to everyone but Momo aka Living Target of all Bad Things in existence.
Urahara is borderline but he’s a lot more pleasant of a character personality wise and is also visible a LOT less than Toshiro.
And Aizen, same deal. A LOT less visible. By the time he started being more and more broken and asspullish, his arc was almost over anyway. Also by that time the grace, swag and cordiality that people loved about the character ALSO started to fade. Not much of a coincidence there.
And lastly, you’re trash at MGO.

Well if you wanna go for the obvious “similarity”, let’s go with their Emo Personalities.
Sasuke has one because of the tragedy with his family, and mostly because he’s a whiny little prick who never was a team player in the first place.
Hitsugaya has one that’s played for comedic effect more than half the time (mostly by Rangiku). To be honest he’s more of The Straight Man than Emo, and he’s usually the reminder of how serious the situation is…you know, without any limbs being hacked off or pools of blood spurting out.
Well except for the part where if someone’s bleeding, Toshiro’s usually the first.

I honestly don’t care much about the character but I will admit he is overrated. Not sure why he has so many fans.
I don’t ‘hate him’, but he’s one of those characters that’s supposed to be all powerful, but as of yet, I’m not convinced. It was like they handed the dude a Captain card because he had a bankai…its not like its done anything for him short of flying and making ice sculptures (I’ll give him the ass pull mirror). Nothing about him comes off as ‘broken’.
