Also, Ukitake zanpakuto is only a dual sword in shikai, while sealed is a regular single sword, only Kyoraku has a dual sword while sealed so far (we will never know with Ichigo

With them looking the same, I wonder if its intentional to balance the speed/strength of right hand verse left hand - I’m only thinking that deep because of comments made when fighting the #1 Espada

Yea, that’s definitely his Shikai. When he went pick that shit up, it was one sword… It wasn’t even that big. He probably still has to learn how to control his Reiatsu and seal it.

I am pretty sure that they wouldn’t ever be sealed beyond shikai. At this point is more effective to control it and know how to take advantage of his HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE power than how to seal it in a form he will never use. Plus is part of the charm, it makes clear that he is more powerful tahn anyone before him.
Maybe Ichigo has Genji Glove + Offering?

So he’s just gonna walk around with two swords all the time? It’s not like they’re nodachi, or something… They’re pretty bulky.
A part of learning how to harness that power is learning how to keep it under control. He will never be in full control of his power if he can’t even seal his Zanpakuto.
Swords are meh. Probably will look legit when he starts fighting (as if he’s been doing it for years like always)
though I hope his outfit stays like that. Sleeves cut off and all. Fits Ichigo well.

and I honestly was expecting Ichigo to bust out with the sword meshed with his hand ala Condom Aizen when he was like “I am zangetsu”.
He’ll probably combine the swords and put them in a harness on his back like usual when he’s not fighting.

Kube is proving himself to be a beast of an author. Tying up loose ends and creating that same sense of suspension, tension, sadness and elation this series is known for.
This man Ichigo is on a whole diff level.

You made it sound like he cant go with the Big sword on his back and his short sword on his hip.
Also, knowing how to control you power doesn’t necessarily means that he needs to know how to seal his zanpakuto on a form that he will never use, hell, i am willing to think that he will never use his shikai either considering the enemies that he will be facing.
Till this day all the things that Ichigo has done is in order to be in equilibrium with his power, with all the spectrum of it. His acknowledge that both spirits are Zangets and that both of them are him are there to show us his growth on how he has achieved balance in his power.
Add that Ichigo is not a simple shinigami, fow all what we know, the rules for shinigamis (add quincies and hollows to the mixture) don’t apply to him.
Kubo has been throwing all those oddities on shinigamies, hollows, etc for a reason, because they serve as a parallel on how Ichigo can grown.
It’ll always feel like he’s…missing something to me if he doesn’t learn how to seal/release it. Him carrying them in Shikai form takes away from the fact that he IS a Shinigami, whether or not all the rules apply. Besides, he’s with the creator… If he’s gonna learn, what better time is there than now?

I feel that sealing his zanpakutos would be only a liability at best for him.
I think of him as a really super massive star.
There is only a possible point where he can condense all his power (mass) without collapsing, think of Ichigo as VY Canis Majoris, it will be impossible to try to seal his power to appear similar to our sun or a planet without collapsing, and no, i don’t consider being a black hole a form of condensing the mass effectively.
Really no point in using the sealed form at this point. Especially for Ichigo where his shikai is just one small sword, and a big one…Someone with a not easily carry able shikai should be using Sealed.
It just hit me, we are almost sure that those swords are in shikai form, but Ichigo’s clothes are the bankai clothes o_O
Now he can spam Getsuga Tenshou TWICE as fast…
