Makes sense but new weapons look ass. I’ve always liked it when Ichigo had gigantic blades; I still miss the very first sword. I’m just waiting for his Bankai where he combines the swords into one. That’s gonna be some sick shit.

I hadn’t thought of that, but looking at the ‘hole’ in Zangestu, that actually sounds plausible. I am more surprised that he doesn’t have some kind of wrap so he can ‘twirl’ - that seemed to be a Zangetsu ‘trait’ earlier in the series that Ichigo never used…it would even become strings for a theoretical ‘bow’.

I’m waiting on a mangasteam translation on this chapter (I usually don’t care) - I’m curious to the wording about the water evaporating, is the heat because of Ichigo’s sword, or just the ‘forming’ part - i.e. is it usual or not…the girls sound surprised, but Charlie didn’t.

I’m sure he’ll naturally be able to fight and stuff, but Ichigo has never trained in dual wielding swords. He should be at a disadvantage in combat.

Monster of a chapter even tho it read like 5 pages. I swear Kubo being saving mad paper with bleach. If that was animated it would be maybe 3-4mins tops. I for one think that one page with Ichigo holding the two Zangetsus is so fukkin dope!!! I’m putting a couple of those stern ritters on notice some of yall about to get royaly fucked up!!!
Unreal Im taking that specific line to let us know that yep Ichigo will have the strongest fire type Zanpaktou. Remember when Flame CC was going next level and he took all the moisture out the air and Toshiro couldn’t do shit…lol.

I fucking love this chapter, because it explains everything so well yet in a simple manner, no wonder why Ichigo was on so much disarray on the arrancar arc till the end of the hueco mundo arc, he was relying incorrectly on his zanpakuto and at the same time telling him to fuck up, that explains his sudden peaks on both scales being pretty weak or being very strong.
Now the important thing here is what it means that Ichigo forged both the hollow and the oldman (since both are Zangetsu), with this imo, it implies that his quincy powers are his powers and Juha can’t take them back like the other quincies, if true holy shit, Ichigo is a damn broken motherfucker.
I also like how Ichigo wants to be on all the exclusive clubs from SS.

I am with Rodimus here, i think that is a hint to show us that his zanpakuto would be a broken fire based sword.
I think that Charlie (lol) is not surprised because he is so pimp.

Nice chapter but it really flew by lol. All the Capt’s that duel wield have weapons that are identical. Since Ichi’s are different sizes, there might be specific properties of both since he related to them separately. It’s interesting that the Hallow version looks like the previous big-ass Zangetsu but the Quincy version is a weapon with defensive properties maybe?
At the end of the episode it’s like Ywach’s providing an Army of Stern Ritter for Ichi to test his new tech out on. 
They got crossed ready pumped his dudes up w/ roids is about to send his peon’s out to the Soul Kings Palace to get F’d up.

I know, right? So now that it’s his true zanpakuto, can’t it just be stolen? Shouldn’t have gotten those new rims when living in a bad part of the city.
I have to say that i like the symbolism on the swords.
The big one being the Hollow/Shinigami sword and the little one being the Quincy sword, from the looks we could infer that Old Man Zangetsu will be the defensive sword based on how it has a guard and that tactically speaking the short swords are usually used as defensive weapons, meanwhile the Hollow Zangetsu will be the offensive sword.
It is also interesting that it is no longer cloth-wrapped, maybe we can assume that it wouldn’t have a chain on bankai since is no longer being hide/chained
BTW the longer sword is still very big for what we can see, almost as tall as Ichigo.

A sad thing to consider is that unless the power bust is so great we wouldn’t see much of these form because Ichigo prefers to use his bankai all the time
IIRC, Shunsui’s swords are not equal in size.
