That wasn’t really a rebuttal. No, Other quincies don’t have people living inside their weapons because their weapons are made on the spot by materialized energy. They learn quincy techniques from other Quincies, like how Ishida learned from his Grandfather and father. It just happens in Ichigo’s case that the quincy he learned Getsuga Tenshou from lives in his soul somewhere. Nothing is different about ichigo learning from “zangetsu” and Ishida learning from his Grandfather, other than the odd place that “zangetsu” lives.
Which is where that original conversation I had the other day started. People still say Kubo is pulling things out of his ass, even when after the reveal there is usually a hint to it 100 chapters before it happened. Do people only considering it foreshadowing when they personally see it coming? It seems like people are like, “well yeah that was there all along, but I didn’t notice it until afterwards, so that doesn’t count as foreshadowing.”
Yeah he’s hardly pulled relevant stuff out his ass. It’s all tied to the typical way to write a shonen. You think up an origin, you think of the end/end-game, you fill in the middle as you go.
From day 1 Ichigo was poised to be the christ like figure for Bleach. Not from a broken standpoint, but from a bringing it all together stand point. I’m sure form the begining their were Quincy’s, and Kubo intended for Ichigo to be part of all three sides - Qunicy, shinigami, and hollow. While fleshing out details in the character he would add details to flesh out later down the line to put it all together, which is why you see hints early on, but there are still inconsistencies. As a writer, Kubo’s biggest issue is pacing, with improved pacing, everything that people shit on in the series would be ten times better. Look at Unohana, her reveal and ultimate ‘death’ if you will, was a tragedy not out of ‘script’ but out of speed, she is revealed to be the First Kenpachi, and within like 3 chapters we see a bankai and eventual death, for what seems like a poor reason, even though it serves the greater good and IS what should happen…the flaw in it all was how quick it was. For someone amped up so much, we actually hardly saw her fight. So Kubo’s pacing is shit, but everything else is actually pretty standard fair. It’s not top tier, no one dying in Bleach would make you cry or sad, bu its a gift and curse. Can you imagine any of the actual strawhats dying in OP? But here - tons of characters can actually die, so the stakes are higher in a fight. We just saw people pieced out left and right, and had B been less popular, he would have died during the invasion.
In terms of what powers are what, I think what’s important is that they are all Ichigo’s. They may be BASED on something else, but they’ve melded together…this was shown when Ichigo was unlocking his OHK shit. His stuff is eerily similar to his father, in part because he had been sort of using his father’s powers from the begining, but the colors were that of shadow, pointing to an infusion of power from Juha. The final tech is likely similar to his father’s true bankai, but augmented by the quincy powers. In fact it is the quincy powers that more or less ‘saved’ some of his reitsu post fgt.

The most important take-away though is Ichigo was born from a Royal Family, The Original Quincy, & Aizen. Three Guys and a Baby style…

Isshin’s Bankai must be good considering how strong he is. But the property it has of putting so much strain on his body sound kind of lame. Kind of like Komamura where injuring his bankai hurts him.

Since it is fire based and considering Ichigo’s Tensa Zangetsu Bankai properties, it kinda makes sense.

You know, I lurk this thread. Yeah, I have been following Bleach since it started. I just want to say fuck this author for this horseshit. Another fucking week! Luckily I like seeing Zangetsu. This better a badass sword.
It looks like white fire to me. So with the foreshadowing by the original CC, Aizen, and his pops, I’m assuming Ichigo is going to have hte strongest ‘Fire’ zanpaktou.

Man, i love the foreshadowing that has been in place, like the black theme of the old bankai being the product of the Quincies Power keeping the whole extent of the Shinigami’s powers in shadows, hell, even the appearance of Old Man Zangetsu covering his whole body, since he was covering the true extent of the powers.
Also, i like that Ichigo was incredible broken when he was having access to a merely fraction, i can’t wait to see him with his full power, i can almost picture him being as powerful when he was in FGT, and that being him holding back.
This also explains why he was relegated to using one fucking move all the time 
Specially one that kept him on the verge of falling to the dark side.
Now i wonder if this means that Ichigo would be using 3 spirits as his guide, the Hollow, Old Man and the true Zangetsu
Oh, one more thing, so the way for Kubo to make Ichigo have a chance against Yamamoto’s stolen Bankai is to give Ichigo a more broken Fire Zanpakuto :looney:

Though I think ‘Old Man’ is pretty much ‘done’ moving forward. He’ll show himself ONE more time to lock an attack via blut vein, but I wouldn’t expect to see Ichigo using anything Quincy moving forward.

He can’t seal his sword because he has so much spiritual power. He still shouldn’t be able to seal his sword now that somebody isn’t holding him back. From an audience standpoint, he should probably be walking around in bankai instead of shikai mode. He only fights in bankai mode anyways, so we cut out that transformation. Then whatever other forms he has (does he even have the mask form anymore?) will be the transformation he does.
Dunno man, i actually feel that he will be part of Ichigo’s arsenal from now on teaching him how to use the quincies latent powers, after all the whole idea is that he will start using the tech from his heritage, quincies hollow and shinigami to make him more broken.
I can almost see him using the quincy tech as his deffensive tools, the hollow as a power boost and the bankai as his weapon.
This needs to keep being edited to add all the hype stuff that gets revealed
BTW, i think that this settles for once that Ichigo was using his own shinigami powers, it’s just that it was a fraction of it.

Old man Z or Old man Bach gave the crazy speach to ichigo, but it felt good cause I remember first reading bleach like why the fuck the old man keeps keeping info from Ichigo but seeing all this play out is just so nuts I cant even contain my bleach hype right now.
