Wait a minute… If “Shirosaki” is Zangetsu… Does that mean we’ll get to see Ichigo’s form against Ulquiorra again? That Vasto Lorde form was the real Zangetsu taking over so, wouldn’t that make it his Bankai?

I dunno why anyone’s surprised about the bach thing. We’ve been thinking that since Bach’s first appearance in the prostitution chamber with Espada boobs.
I have to go read the chapter again. Because the translations were really bad. But reading stuff here has cleared some things up. Nice to know we’ve been basically getting all the info right there in our face without really knowing it.
So does the hollow thing apply specifically to Ichigo, or does every Shinigami have a form of hollow inside them that helps to shape their sword?
I think it’s just Ichigo due to Masaki’s situation. The Zanpakuto arc in the anime showed the spirits of everyone’s Zanpakuto, none of which were hollows. It’s still confusing for me at this point, though…
The actual physical zanpakutos are forged from souls in a manner similar to that of Aizen’s white hollow(s).
The inner spirit of a shinigami that becomes the source/manifestation/whatever of the zanpakuto’s power doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with hollows. Ichigo is likely a unique circumstance.

This reveal probably explains why the quincies couldn’t steal Ichigo’s bankai. It’s not a bankai.
Now that you mention it, if they couldn’t steal Tensa Zangetsu because it wasn’t a “real” bankai, this new forged Zanpakuto could be a potential nerf to that advantage of him, unless the reforged zanpakuto is still something different.
Same could be said for Kenpachi hahaha

Kenpachi is a counter because he captain level with barely a shikai (shikai sword with no secondary ability).
Ichigo could still be a counter because whatever his Bankai is, it’s still mixed with his other parts (Fullbring, Quincy, Hollow, Captain Planet), so the tech to steal a Shinigami’s bankai won’t work if his is more than Shinigami.
The fact that the Hallow is now imbued into the Zanpakto is a huge buff, Ichigo can now master his Bankai which can’t be stolen (shouts to my nigga Aizen) so he can work on perfecting the Blut Vein.
I have a feeling the if he actually kills someone that has stolen a Bankai or is able to destroy the Quincy badge he’ll be able to release the stolen Bankai back to it’s rightful owner.
This, this, this. Been saying that shit since I first saw it that Ichigo needs to get on that tech. That shit is sick.
Dunno man, i always felt that while it looks cool, that tech is reckless and sooner or later would play against him if he use it.

Then again Juha Bach mentioned that only he was powerful enough to seal Captain Commanders Bankai. So most of this arrancar and quincy’s might not have enough power to fully contain ichigos bankai.
