What I never really got from Isshin is why keep all that from your kids? especially Ichigo after your fam gets attacked by hollows?
In the pilot ep, right as they were talking in front of the moms grave Ishin couldve been on some Ichigo lemme holla at you.
I do enjoy Ichigo story very much but damn if Isshin story would have been an awesome manga.
Plus its always good to see Aizen running around lol, I wonder what non-sense we gonna see aizen do to get Isshin kicked out of SS lol.

Here’s some story: a Quincy will kill Isshin when he goes to investigate. Ichigo’s mom heals him. They fuck.
Now this begs the question. Why the he’ll didn’t any of the Ishidas recognize the last name kurosaki? Or did they just not tell Uryu
So this nigga aizen set up Isshin oh my god Aizen is jesus b
It seems that only 2 Ishidas exist
Uryu who seems to be on the same boat of Ichigo of knowing shit and Uryu’s dad who seems to be like Ishin and doesn’t tell shit to Uryu

Okay, now seriously. So Isshin was the former Captain of Rangiku and Toshiro…nice of neither of them to mention that. Toshiro rank jumped Rangiku to become Captain, interesting. And the DREAM TEAM IS BACK!!! Aizen, planning that shit for decades. Keikaku at its finest. Every chapter has to end with him saying that.
Since when has Uryu known anything? remember this guy thought he was the last quincy alive until daddy Ishida was like “lol nope”. So it doesn’t surprise me he doesn’t know anything.
at least we basically know why daddy ishida acts all cold to Isshin. (but I mean…we already knew why since we wrote it.)

Like it was already said on this same page, none of them have interacted with Ishin at all, at least not until the Fullbring arc, and none of them knew that Ichigo was Ishin’s son
that would probably explain why it took so long for him to hear his sword. It wasn’t his sword to begin with and another shinigamis soul was attached to the zanpaktou.
One of these days, Manga is gonna hit a flash-forward. On that day, the manga world will shit itself retarded. Until then, enjoy time travel…again.

That was my original thoughts on it, but ultimately - the sword is just a sword. When the last user died - the soul died with it…leaving behind…well a sword.

the really amusing thing for me about that one (been watching back through the anime in a no-filler run) is that his dad basically told him when he was young that he was miles ahead of him in skill. the line he said to uryu about how the quincy would die out was “I have no interest, and you have no talent”.
on the real though… those are 2 absolutely terrible parents…
If not Toshiro and Rangiku, then fucking RUKIA of all Ichigo’s buddies should have been able to speak up. And you can’t tell me they couldn’t feel their old Captain’s reiatsu spike up when he cut down Grand Fisher.
Didn’t she once state that Shinigami learn the names of all the previous captains? Isshin has only been out of SS for 20 years or so - Rukia’s been a shinigami longer than that, if I recall.
I don’t think Matsumoto and Hitsugaya were there when Grand Fisher was stirring shit up.
I hope she doesn’t know that Shiba Isshin was once a captain, because then it makes her look pretty slow on the uptake. Ichigo’s resemblance to Kaien, the same first name, but then again it hasn’t been revealed whether or not Rukia even knows the name of Ichigo’s dad.
Wonder if Karin’s gonna get the bow and arrows soon.
