Please consider this. SF4 and Blazblue about a half hour closer to Seattle, that place would be off the hook every night.

Any update on BlazBlue/SF4 for Acme Bowl? I for one would be there nearly every night with at least a few bucks if either of these were there.
UPDATE: The Blazblue kit arrived Wednesday. Our guys are busy getting it all together. BUT, the required I/O board ended up not being included with the kit! We have to track one down next week. The goal is to have it at Acme sometime between wednesday and Friday. Only the missing I/O board is holding us back. If anyone has a Taito type X compatible I/O they are welcome to make donation, hahaha.

Guys, I have talked to them before and there is no way they would be allowed to move SF4 from Narrows, Narrows management would be hella pissed.
I will probably only be interested in playing blah blue just to try to make the game look stupid for a while, then never play it again. I wish there was SF4 or super turbo or a good KOF instead of another carbon copy guilty gear clone courtesy of ARC systems.
BTW, no one at evo barely paid any attention to this game amongst DROVES of hardcore people, so I’m having a hard time understanding this purchase instead of another SFIV machine…

I would’ve gave it a shot.
I wasn’t about to wait 30 minutes to test out a game that I was just going to get bodied in when there were 4 SF4 cabinets a few steps away, or a ton of casuals going on otherwise. But I will definitely see if I want to pick this game up.
The reason there weren’t as many people paying attention to it is because there was only 1 copy running off a laptop, they sometimes didn’t have converters plus because the game wasn’t meant to go through converters the button config was a little fucked. The game itself is at least not a carbon copy of guilty gear and adds alot of flair to that game style. I can’t say for sure what the lasting power of it is, as I only played 2 games or so at evo, and after that waiting in line again got boring when I could go and try and play sf4 and have a chance to play more than 1 game (at bb even if you won both players got off) Anyway, Im just saying give it a chance if you can, maybe you’ll end up liking it. I realize alot of players didn’t give GG a chance because of some of the players associated with it, but I will say that AC is a fun, challenging and rewarding game where many play styles can win the day and each character is pretty unique… hopefully BB will be that way as well.
hey, i’ll give it a shot despite the fatc that Tager’s command throw(s) and super command throw can be escape from ala Tekken. ACME is only 3 blocks from work, so why not, right? Of course, SF4 and HD Remix outright have taken over in the fun factor right now in King/Pierce/Snohomish Counties.
Ross, for me the guilty gear players have nothing to do with it (I consider Vince a friend even though I rarely see him outside majors), it’s that the games all look very similar to me, and I prefer the similar style of traditional SF games than the similar style of rushdown behind your familiar with homing properties.
I realize this is my ignorance but it would take far too long for me to figure out what is really going on in GG/ARC games, and life is too short and gaming time too rare for that. Just my .02.
They can only be teched if you combo into them or if you are in block stun when they grab you. Otherwise they are untechable!
Airthrow, yeah I hear that. Learning new games is a huge time suck. I really should spend less time doing it.
Call me biased, but thats still bunk. Its like Arc took a look at Orochi Yashiro and his combos into BODY TOSSES and said “thats too mean”.
