Socal has already had two tournaments, we can’t be lagging behind here
If you start this at 5 I can possibly make it, but I probably won’t be there until 6:30 or so coming from SF and off work.
The main difference is, is that look how long they’ve had boards for their arcades. Usually people want to play in a tournament with some experience. I say a week or two is not at all much experience, unless of course you’ve had a hidden arcade board in your closet for a month. But, what am I complaining about, I’m not going to enter.
Pretty much the cure all for those who think it’s too early, for those who don’t go have some fun I guess, I’ll be in there, with a grand total of 2 days of experience ( with week long gaps inbetween those two days ) so…yeah it’s not like anyone’s at that much of an unfair advantage, we all suck!

I can’t believe someone is actually complaining about having a tournament early. No one takes the first couple of tournament results from a new game seriously.

the point of the game isn’t to showcase the best possible gameplay at the maximum player capacities.
it’s to have fun.
if your idea of having fun is to play the best possible players with the best possible strategies, then you will never have fun in the US. seriously.
everyone shut up about the damn timing and just gather up to meet friends, have fun, and play some games. if you are lucky, you might even get sex from spirit juice.
I love how people want to have a srs tourny. WTF is that bullcrap. You want serious tourny go to a major. This is a tourny to check how far you have progressed even if it’s just out. To hang with friends and all that crap. Minus the Sex with SJ, I’d go if it started a little later but if it’s still held and I can’t enter I’d still try to go just because.

Why must you work on Saturdays?? I once had the lunch special for that day which was a hella good lunch. Excellent Shio(salt-based soup) ramen (tasted hella scallop in there) with a wasabi rice bowl (ended up with something like two soft boiled eggs as a result) hella good.
