Since the SJSU will be closed that day (the Bowling Center as well), we’ll be playing BB at SVGL instead.

Rules:
Time: 5pm
Location: SVGL

  • $3 entry
  • I’m not sure about the card system there, so if anyone can give me the lowdown that would be most helpful.

Not sure what time we’re gonna start yet, but it’s safe to guess it’ll be sometime in the mid afternoon. SVGL is open until 1 on Saturdays as well, so we’ll have plenty of time to play BB (and HnK, if you wanna play that too).

I’ll also be posting other ranbat dates here, so check this thread if you aren’t too sure when a new ranbat will be, or if you dont post at Dustloop.

If you don’t have a car you’ll have to Bart + Caltrain + Bus combo it. If you do have a car it’s a straight shot from 280 South all the way there.

Take 280 South until you get to Wolfe road, get off there and make a right, take a left at El Camino BLVD until you see Golfland USA.

Edit: the place is never dead even on mondays, if you go today expect a minimum of 6 people around the Blazblue machine.

Someone on DL mentioned just making this a tourney, how many would go for that?

Yes, but I mentioned it’s too soon to make it a ranbat and just have it be a REGULAR tourney. Kind of silly to give out points to those who mashed the hardest.

level of play has nothing to do with people having fun and getting points for a ranbat.

if that was the case, ranbats should be banned outside of japan.

important question: WHAT TIME. there are 84 other tournaments this day and i would actually like to make to multiple of them.

I talked to Fred last night and it looks like Fred and I are most likely running the tournament since no one can find qwerty.

We came to the conclusion that the later the better, so right now it looks like it’ll probably start at 5:00 pm.

Let’s wait at least 2 more years so that certain people have enough time to practice and raise their skills to such a level where they aren’t double perfected in the first rounds of a tournament.

I think 3, 4, or 5 is a good time to start the tournament/ranbat/buttonmash contest.
