Already mentioned many times on the forums but it fixes the lags online to make it as godly as it was supposed to be, and adds blind select for ranked matches.
It’s called “Scaling Type” under display options.
I can only move the HUD
Ah, I searched this thread for patch, shoulda searched the
forum. Thanks.
I was wondering why I read somewhere that it wasn’t blind select, and when I first play it’s blind. Lol.
For frame data, how many game frames are there in a second? If a move lasts 30 frames, does it last for 1 second or half a second?
Under “Display Settings” there are only two options.
Move Upper HUD
Move Lower HUD
Maybe it’s only available to HDTVs, I play on an SDTV.
6 frames = 1/10 seconds
30 frames = 0.5 seconds
60 frames = 1 second
correct, its only available on HDTVs
Sigh.
Guess I’ll just have to suffer in the corners.
What does the “emergency roll” function in training mode do? I know that aerial roll is teching forward/neutral/back in the air, and wake-up is ukemi on the ground, but I don’t understand “emergency roll.” :wtf:
Hey guys, I’m about to pick up BlazBlue tomorrow but I’m not sure whether I should pick it up for the PS3 or Xbox 360? From what I hear, they are pretty much the same.
The main deciding factor for me is online play. I’ve heard that some people were very laggy when it came to the PS3’s online play, but I’ve also heard that the patch fixed it and the lag isn’t noticeable anymore, feeling like your opponent is next door. On the Xbox 360 side, I haven’t really heard much about online play, no complaints.
I’ve searched and found that some people have both consoles, but they bought it for both too…not really an option for me.
The online is really the deciding factor for me (if it’s good for the PS3, that’s what I’m going for since the controller is more comfortable for me. I don’t plan on getting a stick for a few weeks until I get accustomed to BB).
Thanks in advance!
The online play for both consoles is fine. I would say get Blazblue for the PS3, but neither one has any significant drawbacks.
The tier list is from tournament-level players. If a match-up is rated 8-2, it’s rated at the highest level of play. For people just stepping in, there aren’t any blatant exploits. The really ridiculous stuff is in advanced play (say, Carl’s loop or Arakune’s corner trap). That’s not to say that there aren’t characters that are hard to play starting out with (e.g. Carl).
Also the game is very new and the tiers are highly subject to change.
I can’t speak for expert level play (though can give you an idea what V-13 and Tager can do to eachother), but V-13 and Tager match-ups don’t seem to be ridiculously lopsided when starting out.
Thanks for the quick response. I’m going to be getting the Hori FS3 once I get accustomed to BB as a “starter stick” but if I see myself playing more fighting games like KOFXII and Tekken (which I probably will) then I might move on to a better stick.
Thanks again.
Are Hakumen and Nu playable in arcades? Or are they exclusive to consoles?
They are playable in the arcade version too; via a code, IIRC.
I got a question on air teching and ground teching. since you can pretty much have an infinite combo without teching, what’s the purpose of teching? Can you setup resets and stuff if you know they’ll tech? can you punish if you know they’ll tech (for both ground and air teching)
cant test this out since i don’t have the game.
I’m new, but from what I have experienced there are indeed “tech traps”.
The point of teching is to prevent additional damage, and to avoid fake combos.
So, if they do 50 really hard hitting moves, they’re not going to combo. If you don’t tech, you’ll take ridiculous damage. Teching also gets you safely out of fake combos.
Quick question: I don’t know if it’s been asked before, if so, I apologize in advance, but I swear that I couldn’t find it in the instructions manual, so don’t say RTFM. If it IS in the manual, I’m an idiot.
Either way, during a ranked match battle at the screen where your D-Codes are displayed, there’s an icon that say “UP LOAD NG” that is triggered by Triangle (For PS3). I’ve seen on the bottom that says “Change Upload permissions,” but honestly, what the hell does that mean and do?
Also, I’ve seen the feature where you can download people’s replays on the ranking list, how do you do that?
And one more, additional thing: What’s the easiest way to share replays with other people?
How do you create matches in RANKED mode? I find myself being able to join other people’s games, but I can’t make my own ranked match.
Listening to your character’s theme song on the same map 50x in a row is not fun.
