They do not use this notation in street fighter or marvel?
How do they express a combos list usually with those games.
Never mind I found akuma’s combo thread and they input the arrows.
:qcf::360::df: That seem a little cumbersome. is there a faster way to type the arrows on srk with out clicking on the emoticon button?
:f::f:, :qcb:, :f::h:, :f::f:, :d::h:, :d::uf:, J:d::l: ,J:d::h:, :d::h:, J:d::l:, J:d::l: , air:f::f:, J:d::l: ,J:h:, :h:, :df::h: … i am done
the combo i was trying to express is the corner combo -
hop Hotaru -> 6c -> hop -> 2c -> sj.2a -> j.2c -> 2c -> j.2a -> delay j.2a -> AD j.2a -> j.c -> 5c -> 3c
hop is hakumens dash it is a little hop forward.
Hortaru is 214b
A = weak B = medium C = Hard D = distortion
j is jump or air version
sj = super jump
AD = air dash
is cs2 the latest blaz blue game in the franchise ?
and does anybody no if there is a new one coming out soon ?
“CS2” is the latest game in the franchise, but “BlazBlue: Continuum Shift” is the version you buy for home consoles (as opposed to portable systems.). A free patch updates CS to the CS2 character data. If you want the three new CS2 characters, they are available as paid DLC.
There is a “BBCS2+” announced for the PSVita, but it’s A) Only for the Vita, B) not even due in Japan until the end of the year, C) Most likely just CS2 again with a new character or two and some new game modes or something. Not much is known about it at this time.
tldr: Buy “BlazBlue: Continuum Shift” for 360 or PS3. Download patch. Play.
What about 3rd Strike and MvC2? They had awesome soundtracks. Alpha was good too.
Bought this game two days ago and Ive been in tutorial mode and watching online vids. Love the game! Ive been playing fighters all my life but ive never played bb or gg. But I do have a question. Ive downloaded the latest patch and the downloadable characters but I cant find them in Arcade. Only in the tutorial mode… Why is this? Its a damn shame that I didnt get to know this game earlier… Been wasting mt time on crapfighter 4 for to long. Thank god 3s is out. But my time will go to BB now.
The DLC characters were not added to arcade. If you want to play against their AI i think you can go to verses mode with only one player and play against them. They are also not playable in story or legion modes. You can play as them in score attack.
Holy crap dude. Do you know how old the post you just quoted is?
I was just wondering if it would be worth my time/money getting Blazblue. I have played a lot of fighting games over the years, but Guilty Gear was one of the few I did not like at all. None of the characters appealed to me, and I found the gameplay pretty dull. It is also one of the few fighting games I found the tournaments dull to watch, for whatever reason. Since Blazblue is essentially the successor to Guilty Gear would it be a safe bet I would not like it, or are the two different enough to warrant trying it out?
They’re pretty different, and pretty similar. The trouble is that we don’t know what facet of Guilty Gear you didn’t like. If you’re on the fence in though, I’d suggest watching a couple videos of each of the characters in action. That’ll tell you if it’s fun to watch, at least, and might give you a sense for whether any of the characters appeal to you. What was it about the GG characters that didn’t appeal? Style? Personality? Gameplay? BB pretty much has a character who matches the gameplay style for everyone, but whether you like the personalities or visual style is another matter.
Of course, the game is pretty cheap right now, so you can’t go TOO far wrong in trying it out.
I watched a few tournament videos just before and Blazblue does look interesting. The characters seem interesting and the combos looked more varied. Well, except one Taokaka match I saw: it looked like she looped between two normals for ages, racking up significant damage. Other than that, however, it looked worth checking out. Several characters caught my eye, and the game does not look as dull as Guilty Gear did.
Well, I’d say give it a shot. (And Tao’s taunt loop has been removed with the CS2 patch, though now she has an airborne drive loop, it’s only good for like 3 or 4 reps, so is a lot less tedious to watch or be caught in.)
I know this is a really newb quiestion but…
HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET AN INPUT DISPLAY IN TRAINING MODE AND MISSION MODE?! Is there no way to see what you’re inputting?!
Hit start, and hit RB/R1 or LB/L1 until you find the option for Display Inputs. It should be right by Attack Data.
Thanks! Ugh, didn’t realize those colors on the top were for sub-menus
It’s what we’re here for
It’s a great game imo, you can do a lot worse for $20.
$16 now - it’s one of the “deals of the week” on Amazon.
Simple question, is there any content missing from the 3ds version of CS2? I want to get into blazblue but don’t have the money to drop on a console right now.
I don’t know much about the 3DS version, but the PSP version has all the “content”, but it’s not arcade perfect - timings on combos and things are somewhat different. Otherwise though, it’s the same game.
