Ok, I’m a little(very) butt-hurt that SFSU didn’t end up getting BlazBlue. This thread is here to show that people besides me are also butt-hurt that it’s not there when it SHOULD be. It’s not even a matter of usage; everyone KNOWS everyone at SFSU would be all over this shit.
SJSU has SVGL to compete with. Sure we have Tekken 6, but honestly no one really plays Tekken at SJSU, only like 2, maybe 3 at most, and 1 of them do not even go to SJSU and they aren’t even there consistently.
Sunnyvale has a better deal for credits/tokens, ie. $20 gets you 30 more credits on your card ($7.50 more, $10 also gets you more credits). Not to mention it’s 50c per play.
SJSU parking is HORRENDOUS compared to SFSU, with SFSU having their own shuttle from DC BART, the Muni M-Line, and Stonestown/Residential Areas to park at. Plus food right at your fingertips!
SVGL would get more people to play there since it is closer than SJSU, credits deal they have, dedicated cabinet, and parking is 120% easier and FREE.
Last but not least, remember when SJSU wanted Melty Blood Act Cadenza? What happened a month after? Free play on laptops outside the arcade, with the same updated, if not, better version! (Melty Blood Freeplay Cadenza)
who voted no? I’d like to check this game out and go to sfsu more. I haveen’t been to this arcade in two yars and this game would bring me back! I’d also settle for arcana heart 2.
Even as a current student at SJSU, I support moving Blazblue to SFSU. Specifically because it is a much better choice for the community in terms of accessibility and also it would be a smart business decision on part of OCE in regards to SVGL being less than 15 minutes away with a superior setup.
I’m going to pretend I never read this part and continue believing that you are a logical human being.
hmmn I wouldn’t call it completely bad, he and I discussed something like this at the last annual tourney…I have no doubt that it will do well at SJSU, even with SVGL competing with them, just not as well as it could do here. Now to play the waiting game!
