BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma EXTEND announced!

There was also a 19 minute video that showed a lot of gameplay footage for Terumi, Kagura, and Kokonoe. Kokonoe has a teleport and Terumi’s meter gain is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ll try to see if I can find where that 19 minute video was though.

Depending on how strong the magnetism pull is of Kokonoe’s magnets, she may be able to completely render rolls useless if she puts one up over them on wakeup. And her ice spray did INSANELY HIGH chip damage. It’s like they said “okay fuck Amane lets just give the fan fav his shit”.

I went to the Tokyo Game Show yesterday to play the console version of this game. I picked Kokonoe, loved her. <3

Second TGS trailer subbed: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1518nl_subbed-blazblue-chrono-phantasma-tgs-2013-trailer-2_videogames

Thanks for sharing these, though holy crud, the english in the subs for the 2nd one was…not good. @_@

Are these available at higher resolution anywhere? What is up with Japan, land of the insane fast internet, where all video is in super cruddy quality?

What are the new character’s drives and what do they do? (Amane, Bullet, Azrael, Izayoi, Kagura, Terumi, Kokonoe)
Sorry for asking a lame question, I forget sometimes.

Amane’s drive is called Spiral = he’s got different types of drills. When used they level up (he’s got a drill meter, damage goes up and they last longer) and when not in use the drill meter starts to decrease. If used too much they “overheat” and cannot be used for a period of time.
Bullet’s drive is (Lock-On) a funny-looking-attack which levels up when it lands (max level 3). Basically when you press D a circle appears around her and if the opponent is caught in the circle (not guarding) when you let go of D she grabs them and you gain a level. The levels increase damage and combo options.
Azrael’s drive (The Terror) is a bunch of melee attacks which reveal one of 2 weak points in the opponent when they land. When you use his drive moves to hit a visible weak point the opponent bounces of the wall, staggers, freezes depending on the move, allowing you to continue comboing.
Izayoi’s drive is Scarlet Justice. Basically, besides her heat meter she’s got a Hakumen-type meter with magatama-like symbols (max 8) which fill when she lands special attacks. She can use these symbols to unleash new special attacks in her “super-mode” called Gain Art.
Kagura’s drive (Black Gale) is a bunch of different stances in which he can use new moves. It’s kinda like Hazama’s Jasetsu (214D) but much more versatile.
Terumi’s drive (Force Eater) is (again) a bunch of attacks which give him heat like crazy when they land. He’s strategy is to gain heat fast and use his DDs to dish out real damage (he’s got 6 DDs). One of his DDs powers up his drive moves and other DDs for example.
Kokonoe’s drive is Graviton. Basically it’s a floating magnet which she can place anywhere in the stage. It draws the opponent and projectiles to itself and it gives Kokonoe’s specials some new abilities like wall bouncing etc. She’s got a meter which drains when she uses her magnets.

Nitpicks:

Don’t know why people insist on calling Bullet’s drive a “grab”, let alone a “command grab”; It’s 100% blockable, that’s not a grab. It’s just a funny looking strike.

I’d say which FILLS when she lands special attacks “refills” implies that it starts off full, which is sadly not the case.

I presume you meant “draws” rather than “drains” :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Edited the original post ^

From CS to CS extend did they add anything story-wise? I actually like BB’s storyline.

Stories for the dlc characters and relius, plus a retelling of CT that basically just condenses the important events into one single story. If you played CT and CS, you’re fine though. CSX is basically just a refresher on the plot that doesn’t really add nor really take away.

The NA limited edition will come with the full suite of goodies including the Rachel nendroid that seriously made me consider importing. Thanks Aksys!

Yeah, I’m pretty pleased about the U.S LE myself. It’s a shame it’s taking so long to get here though.

Yeah, it sucks it’s taking so long to get here, but the good thing is it gives me time to make sure I have the money.

They also added Sector 7 & Military Academy side-stories (which are kinda like 2 drama CDs with pictures), if that’s your cup o’ tea~

MY LIFE IS NO LONGER FILLED WITH REGRET.

Damn…DAMN…must…still…import…

I just watched the first episode of BlazBlue Alter Memory… LOVED IT

It’s eh. I looked at it as if I had no prior knowledge of BB, and it’s very confusing to the average viewer. They haven’t explained or begun to explain anything about the world or anything which is going to really confuse the viewer. I need to know what direction it’s going in so hopefully it’ll tell me in a few episodes.
