Whats the gap looking like? Can B tier successfully take on S or…?
Makoto is so shit she’s not even on the list lol.
But she’s supposed to be B-tier aswell.
But with Makoto’s crazy corner carry’s + Orb oki she can be really dangerous. Although compared to the S-tiers she’s not.
Everyone seems to be dangerous to atleast some extent.
You’re not going to get it; There’s no such thing. Arc Sys doesn’t tell people what they did to the character. People just have to figure it out, so there will pretty much be questions forever, because not everything is even in the mook.
Carl got a LOT of nerfs. He’s probably still strong, but it’s going to take time. A lot of Carl mains are kinda salty right now, whereas I totally feel he deserved it. Carl, honestly, is as dumb as Arakune in EX.
Well, she got a PILE of buffs for no reason that I can think of. But yeah, I haven’t really seen her doing stuff that made me go “OMG, so strong!” or “I don’t believe that’s legit.”
I personally think it’s kinda dumb to even HAVE an “A+” tier considering how tightly packed these tiers are already.
Pfft, it’s not like he’s BAD. And anyway, the list is probably not ordered inside tiers - that’s a complete waste of time because the differences are so tiny that they basically amount to nothing.
There may be a lot of Bullet players, but I’ve never seen her do anything remotely impressive. I see no reason why she shouldn’t be in B. All I’ve gathered about her right now is that she’s easy to play. z.z That and she’s boring as mud to watch. I’ve actually heard a lot of GOOD things about Relius this time out, so I suspect he’s legit. No real opinion on Noel - while her player base doesn’t seem sad, I’m also not seeing any magic in her current play. She’s not bad (As far as I can tell, we finally no longer have a QQ tier) but she doesn’t have anything to propel her higher in the tier list either.
Anyway, obviously all of this stuff is subject to change as people figure stuff out. Also, I note with amusement that in spite of all the bitchwhining, Ragna is still ranked A.
By the time it hits consoles will it likely have had a patch applied?

We don’t know. No previous version of BB has gotten a non-bugfix patch outside of version updates.
OTOH, GG and P4A both did.
Most of the dustloop characters boards have proration values, new moves properties, damage values, etc. I don’t mean every little intricate detail, but a general changelog would be nice.

Is ASW hinting that Kokonoe will be playable soon? Here’s the transcription of an event that drops after Relius’s arcade mode (though the Dustloop guys say it happens at the end of everyone’s arcade mode):

Apparently they teased about Saya/Kokonoe/Jubei being console playable a while back. And I remember an interview with Mori where he was pretty much like “Everyone keeps talking about her, and I mean…I guess since she’s the most popular, it’d make sense to put her in, wouldn’t it?”. Plus, they’ve been teasing it since the CS storymode and at least Valkenhayn’s “Help Me Professor Kokonoe!” bit.

S Tier is not ranked Strongest to weakest. All 3 are interchangeable. From then on, they get weaker the further to the right they are.
S: Taokaka, Carl, Hazama
A+: Hakumen, Jin, Litchi, Azrael, Mu, Bang, Relius, Valkenhayn
A: Makoto, Ragna, Arakune, Nu, Platinum, Tsubaki, Rachel
B: Tager, Noel, Izayoi, Bullet, Amane
What madness is this? top tier CARL? Hakumen not in S?

I’m more floored by high tier Mu and Relius, personally. The tier lists! They doth not maketh sense!

To be fair, one different in tier lists is some go SS and S, with him in S and others go S and A+ with him in A+, so it’s really kinda “he is but he isn’t”.
Come to that, right now, I’m not really seeing Hazama in S either. He’s stupid, yes, but not like, Tao stupid.
Honestly I don’t think you can make a case for Hakumen not being in S and keep Hazama there.
Also, still. Carl? Really?
Carl = 4K+ Midscreen Damage. He lost stuff but he still retains his sickening mixups and pressure. Not to mention UB loops. Carl is still based.
Hakumen = “He is but he isn’t” He still looks strong but…I don’t know. He still has the damage but he doesn’t look as versatile.
Tao = Just because
Hazama = Every tool you need now with more midscreen damage
Mu = Still Mu with slightly less damage. Better midscreen routes and retains GDLK normals
Lots of characters can still do 4K+ midscreen off the right starters though, and it’s not like Carl gets it off 5B or something. I dunno. He’s really ONLY lost stuff, as far as I’m concerned, and the game isn’t much of a power drop from Extend.
His versatility is what makes him one of the best characters around in CP.
