I never played him like that but I was never a good player really, even if I did kinda revolve my playstyle around some famous japanese players.
I usually spam jump D or curse til they got close and when they got close I started mixing up with jump air dash back+A, I think it was, to do the spikey attack. You hold back so that you fall straight down instead of going with your air dashes momentum.
Once I got a curse going I would just try my hardest to keep them at bay. Arakune, in my experiences, was never really that good at fighting up close,but once again that could just be cause I suck at the game.

2)The Arakune thread on SRK from the SRK BB section( here: http://shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=196392) hasn’t been posted in since November… of LAST YEAR. The last post was a question that no one answered.
3)It’s just one thread. The DL has an entire board for Arakune. That means if you wanted info for Arakune it’s even harder to get it from the SRK BB section.
4)The SRK BB section has Arakune info they got from Dustloop which is much more active that the SRK BB board.

It’s true, Dustloop is absolutely the place to go for anything BlazBlue or GuiltyGear, just like SDTekken or Tekken Zaibatsu are both better resources for Tekken than SRK, or like SWF is the center for the entire Smash scene.
