Something I’ve seen in the last few days; Blanka upball stuffing that scrubby Bison ‘Wake-up’ Meaty PsychoCrusher crossup thing. I hate that, nice to know what to do now. Blocking crossups like that online is a pain in the arse. I still fall for Onis’ Slash 4/5 of the time. Idiot me.
Have you guys seen Error1 Blanka mod? The guy just made Blanka Beast Mode lol… i really wish i can play his version of Blanka

That’s a great interview, definitely have to remember to play patiently. I used to main sakura for a bit and patience with her is key. I could wall out pretty much any character besides some sagats/guiles with simply c.hp and hadoken.
after playing abel whose only goal is to get his ass in there and do some damage it’s a bit of an adjustment going back to a character who makes time overs a viable strategy.

Knowing when to transition from aggression to patience is so so important with blanka because he has so few chances to create truly safe offense. I’m either playing for timeouts or RTSDing very hard. I think you have to control the pace of the match with him.

It’s not much, but at least you can net a few matches from Taku, considering how rare they are.
And if you’ve seen these videos, sorry. With all the “Taku interview” stuff going on, and “blanka is so good, definitely top, and going to be better in v2012” assessments, I thought it was a good time to look for some obscure Taku matches.
Very poor played by FAX… he was on PSN so he was playing like “i don’t care, it’s unplayable after all…” i guess.
The Kiwami vids got posted before, the first few somewhere else, and then the one with Chari I had randomly not ever watched, and then when I did I noticed the Chari OCV.

Very sloppy gameplay I must admit, but my target was to get as many backthrows as possible to abuse the unblockable setup. Lol
vs. characters like Rufus/Makoto/Fuerte you’re actually better off being a bit haphazardly aggressive because blocking vs. them doesn’t really work because eventually you will guess wrong. They have bad defensive options in a lot of situations and you can keep up the pressure on them. Blocking vs. them just gives them meter which gives them defensive options and offensive options.
Better to just get in that ass and take a few risks, especially vs. Makoto.
