I use kruldar’s method for hp electricity. I have to use a glove though so my middle finger can slide across my Sanwa buttons without sticking or having the stick move off my lap. The piano method just hurts my hand too much…
i don’t know the sagat matchup yet, its still a work in progress. so you can ignore everything i do in those vids, it obviously doesn’t work! this week i’ve been playing Alioune who has an amazing sagat, and i do mean amazing! i still haven’t worked out how to play it but i’m starting to work out positioning etc.
its a shame they didn’t up the other matches i played where i actually play well. there was a vid of me playing a turtle honda who didn’t know the matchup as he hadn’t faced a good blanka before, it was fullll of electricity and i was able to do whatever i liked really. and i had a good match vs londons best boxer too but i’m pretty sure no one recorded that one.
I like to get to 1/2 screen away from sagat and then turtle my arse off and see what he does. I usually get beatdown hard if i just rush in like i do against every other char.

So Mullah, I noticed that your jumpin is usually jumping kick (h or m) followed by slp xx elec. I was just wondering why you use that instead of the standard jumping kick cr mk, slp, ball, which does more damage. The only thing i can think of is that the knockdown is worth the extra damage, but then why not jump kick, cr mk, slp xx elec?

Many Blankas around do j.mk/hk, c.lp/s.lp xx elec, quickly get out of elec and the flow of the battle is still good.
Blanka can continue the pressure which he couldn’t after a ball.
I would say, for hit, it’s definitely better to j.k c.mk s.lp ball but for block, I’d preffer the one in my first line.

cuz c.mk s.lp xx elec is harder than it sounds or looks. Sometimes you want the guaranteed damage

The other reason is J.whatever c.mk s.jp xx elec pushes you out too far to do another s.jp xx elec and limits your followup options
Its a great combo for damage, especially if you start with a j.HK
We dont use the ex-ball for damage, we NEED it as a counter. So many times I will get my super off but since I got no ex-meter I lose and would of been better off just slowly taking my opponent out instead of doing one flashy combo.
That’s cool but i guess what i’m trying to say is you have your super meter for ex counter tactice and for crazy damage tactice. Even i have been able to pull off j.HK>> c.MK >> s.LP >> H Blanka Ball XX Super … and i suck. I just don’t know why these pros don’t do it, it’s not only flashy but it does like 520+ damage.
I’m far from a pro. Far far far, but my guess is that the super at the end, adds only a small amount of damage…and that little bit is just not worth burning a whole meter (assuming you have one). You might as well just stop at the blanka ball, or perhaps cancel the ball into an FA using only half the meter.
Also having the threat of an EX wake up vertical ball has its own advantages.
IRC Taking out the s.lp does more damage. I mostly keep the lp in to get extra charge time on a crossup though.
j.HK >> c.MK >> H Blanka Ball does 276 dmg
j.HK >> c.MK >> H Blanka ball XX Super does 556 dmg

Maybe im just speaking for myself but, probaly about 80% of the time i never save meter to even use the super. I use it for either ex-upball or fadc. Yeah its more damage, but there’s other damage opportunities other than saving for xx super
&for not seeing them in vids, its not that they cant do it or never have, they just chose not to, to save the meter for other shenanigans
