The text on EventHubs still says “Blanka can FADC after a Blanka Ball now”, so maybe it’s not upball but horizontal ball that can be FADCed from any distance now, witch would be a good thing.

So we finally have a “get out of jail for free card” for 3 bars! I take it!
But does that means that upball won’t be considered airborne from frame 1? Is there any move/special in the game that it’s airborne AND FADCable anyway? Ryu and Sagat’s DPs are like that, right? (judging by the air reset when they trade)
upball is airborne frame 2, and no no airborne moves are fadcable, they are fadcable before they leave the ground.
I could see them adding throw invincible frames for the normal upballs.
Only thing I can think of are some possible meaty setups for it. I’m betting they would still be unsafe though.

Anyway, there’s little to no reason to ever FADC a regular upball, since it has no invincible frames, unless you can combo after the forward dash (maybe with an increase in hitstun)
This probably don’t mean too much but if someone else can make sense of this it’ll be great.
According to the frame data on event hubs vertical roll on block is -21 on hit its -17, vs horizontal ball (lp) it’s -24 on block and -15 on hit.
Since lp ball is fadc’able’ maybe someone can make sense of this? Although it’s really confusing to me because all this frame data is referring to the bounce back vs now there’s no bounce back

Cl.mk being airborn is pretty sweet. Better practise the lp x elec link afterwards that shit will blow up crouch and standing tech real easy. If the opponent throw becomes active on frame 5 of blankas cl.mk and blankas cl.mk becomes active on frame 5 but is grounded, which wins?
Delayed recovery is a big buff, blankas neutral game is already decent and now knockdown pressure has been weakened massively for everyone else making them as shit at it as blanka. Now we’re talking!
if throw and cl.mk are active on the same frame throw will win. throws > strikes
aside from s.LP kara throw, now we might also be doing CL.MK kara throw it’ll be similar to what rose can do, it’ll avoid all throws but you can throw them instead.
also do anyone know how does CL.MK work as a counter? Since it’s 2 hits does it mean that we do not get any benefits from CL.MK hitting as counter (frame wise)?
on another note, i just read that red focus input is MP+MK + any other buttons…
the only thing that i can think right now that kinda effects a bit is doing LP+LK+MP+MK~backdash OS against Ken (or whomever else you wanna use against)

Don’t think counterhit works cos it’s 2 hits unless u do it vs a focus attack.
Fadc throw tech isn’t possible any more without spending meter I think.

First of all the 2 frame of better recovery is for ALL rainbow ball including EX
This video isn’t exactly blocked rainbow ball but it is against someone who FADC against rainbow ball. Still worth watching, I guess it does make it a tad harder to punish? Also is it just me or does it seem like the trajectory on the bounce back is a little different?

Here’s what I see, keep in mind the video quality is mediocre but at least the Blanka player seems to be good might even be someone well known.

I wonder how many hits fierce elec will get vs a red focus? Vs scrubs online I can see some funny moments to be had. If I still had xbl that is.
There’s one video of the loc tests where the guy absorbs a lot of cr.LP from Poison, but when he releases the Red Focus Attack it got interrupted by another cr.LP.
So I guess you only keep the armor during the attack if you hold it until level 3, like we have today.
So Electricity against Red Focus might be funny. Similar to one video showing Gen’s FA Stance Change Cancel on Vanilla, where Gen keeps absorbing Blanka’s elec until he got dizzy and dies.
