Blanka Trial Mode Thread

I read this whole thread and have come up with a problem in which I do not see too many responses to.

In regaurds to hard trial 5. I am having much difficulty linking the s.mp > c.mk. I can only get it to link about 10% of the time. I do it super fast it doesn’t work so I slow down and it sometimes works but for the most part it feels like there is an exact moment you need to hit the c.mk.

I want to know what this exact moment is. Are people double tapping c.mk? Are they looking for a particular part in the animation? I know I will have trouble landing the lp>f ball but I need to work on this first.

Any timing suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You can actually plink the cr.MK, after you hit st.MP, hit cr.MK ~ LK. Don’t do it super fast, that’s probably the key.

Ok I’m back again lol. I have been trying the whole plinking thing and even read the thread on it and still have little luck. I change up my cr.mk hit a lot can not find the sweet spot. It almost feels like it’s a 100th of a second window. I am still only getting the crouching mk about 20% of the time and of that 20% I am only linking the standing LP about 30% of the time. The ball charge isn’t a problem.

I do seem to have some luck when I enter the st.mp 3x then the cr.mk 3x. But not enough to work on the remainder of the combo. :sad:

Ok I just mapped my mk to turbo on my TE stick. I did the combo 3rd try. The only thing hard behind this combo is the retarded link perfection timing of the cr.mk landing.

What ever happening to button entries entering a command queue?

my best advice is when the c.mk hits you should already have your stick in the back postion ready for the light punch heavy roll link

Original Baller, the trial is to make you learn the input. Mapping turbo etc. won’t teach you anything :slight_smile:

can anyone give me some tips on normal 4/4 j.hk c.mk, rolling attack, ground shave roll
i can do the last three moves on their own but when i add the jump i come up short…

Once you input the up/forward, you’ve got to instantly hold back to begin charging.

You are right but let me ask you something. Can you execute s.mp > cr.mk 80% of the time? That link is fucking retarded. I see no timing in it just luckiness. It is a 1 frame link right? Maybe that’s why it’s such a bitch.

yeah i can land this 80% of the time, it just takes patience and practice

All of the inputs are pretty much the same speed apart.
just count in your head " 1, 2, 3, 4,5and when you have to link the jab to the ball, the ball input is roughly half the time of the other inputs to make it link into it properly. Not so that your just throwing the move out. if that happens then your going to ball and hit and not get the credit, or ball and it will get blocked.

just keep at it. it will come. watch videos of it and imagine yourself pressing the buttons to it. anything to get those cubes!

That’s good hopefully I can find this 1,2,3,4,5 in my head. I tried trial 5 hard like over hundreds of times and hours and hours. That one link just ate me up. I will try to count in my head. =D

Hard Trail #2 & #5

I’ve been pretty successful with #2 and actually have found 2 ways to pull it off. I’m wondering which of the two ways work best with #5. here are my two ways of linking the c.mk,s.lp, & h.rolling attack

  1. c.mk (charging down-back), back+lp, forward + hp
    (i think this one allows more charge time but not sure)

  2. c.mk (charging down-back), forward +lp, hp
    (this ones a little tricky; it’s like doing a rock crusher/vertical rolling combo)

if any one is experienced in succeeding with #5, please let me know which you think works best…

Charging downback as soon as the S.MP Executes so you have extra charge time works. for number 5 of course

I repeat Blanka’s hard trials for practice. Doing them from both sides. Im still not that great at level 5. But it does feel nice when you see the “success” show up on the screen.

Do trial 5 In a match and FaDC the HpBall into riverrun/throw/rockcrusher/knees

you are then allowed to taunt your opponent

Wish I read this thread before attempting all of his trails today…

I swear, everything was simple until hard 5. When I beat that (after like a whole hour) I let out quit the “FUCK YOU STREET FIGHTER” victory scream.

Anyissues ive had with any trials, i just watch the vids on nubtube to see the timing of the links/etc, usually gives me a good idea how to get them done. After i did Blankas ( first) i attempted bisons ( got to hard trial 5 and gave up) a few days later i did all of hondas in about 30 minutes, and then went and finished bisons. starting on vega’s!

it seams like once you do on full set, the others become easier to do.

Damn… Im ashamed to say I have been at blankas last hard trial for a little over 3 hours now. At best I get every link up until it’s time for the heavy rolling attack and I fail that but my main problem is the s.mp > c.mk

I can’t find a way to get it to stick more than a once in a while. Mashing the buttons is not the way to go right? That’s probably going to make it more difficult if anything… Doing it immediately after the s.mp doesn’t seem to be it but if I wait to long he just blocks it.

How did you guys do it?

Heh I saw that but never understood what you meant but anyways I actually did it this morning. I just kept doing it over and over again trying to find a rythm when I needed to hit the buttons and after some time everything started to stick more and more often until I just did it. Felt pretty good.
