My last session with hard trial 5 took about 1h10m. Spent ages on it before that but what changed this time was:
- Switching to a stick made double-tapping links easier
- I plinked the c.mk
- I tightened the charge-time for the hp roll.

Holy cow! Trial 5 was so Fn crazy hard! My hand hurts! But I finnaly have the icons! Fn tight!
No kidding.I’m still trying to do it with my Keyboard .My hand are bleeding.
I want to do it to get my icons . Because seriously it’s not something you do during a match.
erm… if you’re just doing it for the icons why don’t you just use the Unlocker trainer?

Start SFIV, run the trainer and choose what you want to unlock, then go to Options, change a setting and back to main menu so that it saves.
(mods: trainer doesn’t unlock DLC, only icons, titles, characters etc)
Well i trained 5 hours non-stop doing the trial Hard number 5 … And now i can easily do it :cybot: l.
It’s all about your finger memory.Kinda like guitar.
Trick is don’t try to do the complete combo but do it part by part so you will remember the correct timing for each individual part.
So here’s what you need to do .
So the combo (i remember it easily now lol) It’s J.Hk , S.Mp , C.Mk , S,Lp , Charge Rolling Hard
The thing you need to get perfectly right it’s the C.Mk S,Lp … There’s a reason you need to do it in the trial normal . Basicly when C.Mk Hit the target , there’s a little time you need to wait.Just a little after it’s hit , you press LP
Practice just that until you get the timing perfectly and it come naturally.
When you get it right … practice this combo …
J mk c.mk s.lp Charge Hp
So basicly
Practice this
S mp - C mk
and
c mk - s lp
when youcan do both of them like pie … do the complete combo and you will prob succeed it very easily
I trained simply this … and after 4-5 hours i can spam the most difficult trial.

i cant connect the rolling attack im beginning to hold back as soon as i jump up and i go forward halfway through headbutt but it just never connects… sorry I dont know how to put the graphics with the actual move

My guess is that you’re just not doing it quick enough. To interrupt the headbutt, you need to execute that ball the instant it connects.
Is your blanka-ball coming out at all? Or is it just continuing on to the 2nd part of the headbutt?
just continues to 2nd part of the head butt…so i should be doing the rol attack before and finish before the headbutt wow ok ill try is there a better rolling attack to use l. m . h. ??

Any punch should do. I’m fairly certain I did it with fierce.
The timing is pretty tight, forcing the ball in between the 1st hit of the headbutt, and when the 2nd hit would come out (if you let it).
Trail 5 is giving me grief. I need to charge earlier. Trail 4 was was easy for me on the SE fight stick, as soon a you jump charge straight away.
when you jump charge as soon as humanly possible, before you connect your Crouch MK you will want to be doing the Ultra move in the mean time so when the Crouch kick Connects your basically pressing the punch button straight away so the ultra comes out like a flowing combo. The trick is to be charging as soon as possible. For some reason the charge for Blanka and Gen are very long as opposed to Bison. I find bison charge time to be less than those two. Guile and Bison charge are similar…although i still think bisons charge is less.
You think this one is hard wait till you do Ryu’s or Gens Trail number 5 then you’ll cry. I bow down to those who can do Ryu’s on a Fight Pad and not a fight stick. Going from EX Hurrican > EX Shoryuken > EX Cancel > Ultra is insane.
Edit: i clearly missed the actual Trail you were doing, i though you meant Trail 4 in Hard. Sorry.
You need to watch Blanka’s head. When it connects the first time, you will see a little hit confirm (red-orange star) on Dan’s shoulder area. As soon as that lights up, that’s when you cancel properly with the forward + punch. I used medium punch because my finger was right there already. If you go before this, no cancel. Too late and the move is already over, no cancel.
Practice this move. If you can get the timing locked down it’s pretty effective in a fight.
I just got Trial 5 today after working at it for months. I have no clue how the hell I got it but I will never attempt this stupid combo ever again.

How to do Trial 5 (the easiest way so far)
I saved this trial for one (I don’t play Blanka) of the last challenges because I read that the timing to charge for the Heavy Rolling Attack was super tight, and they are right. Here’s how to make the charge timing the easiest part of the combo. Got it on my second try once I didn’t have to worry about charge…
Jump Heavy Kick (immediately hold up/ back), >> medium puch (still holding up back, he will not jump if you time it right and he will do the medium punch that you need, not the headbutt), immediately slide to down/back, >> crouching medium kick >> light punch (keep button held down so that you don’t get negative edge jab rolling attack) xx Heavy Rolling Attack.
So, yeah, basically hold up back when you hit medium punch, there’s no reason to break charge during any part of the combo with this niftly balrog/chun like charge trick. Hope this helps and makes sense because it made the combo alot easier for me. I am really bad at combos so I know this works well, ha ha.

i dont understand how you can combo 2 charge moves.
I have watched the video on youtube of Blankas trials
I can do the first 3 moves but how do you get the super into a combo after a charge move?
If anyone could tell me what im doing wrong here and tips would be greatly appreciated.

easy solution…
when you do the ball you charge back then forward + P
so why not go in with the intention of doing super and throw a ball into the middle of it… it looks like this

that is the command for forward ball cancel super.
so the super is being done with a punch thrown in the middle. easy now dont you think?
