Anyways on ball pushback it goes

lp safeball > ex safeball > lp ball > exball = mp safeball > mp ball > hp safeball > hp ball.

I think against certain characters mp ball is not going to lose any functionality as a footsie tool. I need to test some stuff first though. I’ll have a bunch of stuff up this week, probably a new combo vid with rockcrusher/overhead option, and I’ll have a bunch more data just sitting around.

Went into the lab against yun

Not a single one of the safe jump setups on the front page work against yun. Even with the slow startup of his uppercut, for whatever reason, his EX uppercut always hits me.
In more great news, EX uppercut always seems to beat out the wakeup electricity, wont even trade.

wakeup elec beats up all the normal uppercuts though, beats or trade in blanka favor.

Someone help! We need some safejump setups to make the yun beast sorta deal-with-able.

F. throw, dash, hop, n.j hk seemed like the best bet, but still got beat.

Also, many of the setups simply whiffed cuz were too fast. ex: F. throw, slide, nj hk.

Yun’s wakeup speed seems very fast, somewhere around ibuki speed, if not faster.

I’ll figure it out. f.throw can be tweaked a lot, I’ll get in the lab after I’m done playing on srk live.

I’ve definitely noticede Yuns fast wakeup, and the fact that his ex-kicks upper stuffs most things. I tried to early u1 spin chip him to death on wakeup only to get reversaled out of it. Must be a fair few inv frames with it, it’s like the attackers hitbox falls through.

just tested yun gets up normal speed. the dash, hop setup works on him. It’s easier if you do the neutral jump version, I think the upkicks will hit you late then.

okay fuck yun, you can do every overhead combo you can pretty much think of vs. him, but only if he’s standing, wtf capcom.

capcom confirmed for trolling blanka mains, wakeup crouch block makes 2 hit overhead suck for some reason.

don’t block, crouch, then try to crouch block it. WHAT THE FUCK.

U sure f. throw, dash, then hop, neutral jump stuff works? cuz in my recording the uppercut was just beating me before I landed. Maybe could be my recording setup, but still, shouldnt it be safe no matter what?

it’s a just frame setup, you might have messed up your record. If you are one frame off it doesn’t work.

Also as far as I can tell overhead vs. most characters is +2 while they are crouch blocking and +4 while they are standing/crouching. This is retarded.

Also sweep, hop, overhead, U1 vs. standing Viper combos, but you only get the “shock” hit and not the other ones. I’m pissed.

huh, I have no idea how I was hitting people in normal super with overhead into jab xx ball in matches now, overhead is only +2 vs. crouch block in that game too, this is so dumb.

This character sucks and officially can’t get more competitive at this point unless more unblockables are found, he’s pretty much done.

I pretty much have no incentive to work on this character anymore, thanks Capcom. Good luck people.

Hello my name is Alex I’m a Blanka from Los Angeles CA. I been playing blanka since STF4, I currently play and practice with Onlinetony, Combofiend and other players from the LA area. I notice that in most SRK blanka threats people think you can’t land the cross up ultra on the twins (yun n yang) just cuz the twins can wake up EX kicks and reverse it. I have decided to post that after working at the “comboratory” and further research my conclusion is that YES YOU CAN LAND THE CROSS UP ULTRA. how you ask? i could upload a vid on how to do it but i rather have you guys do it yourself, here is what you guys will do…go to training mode select blanka and any of the twins, then make the twins do EX kicks just once is good enough. go and record it then playback, go and F. throw and as soon as the twin hit the ground you need to input your cross up ultra while at the same time moving jimmy a 1/2 step forward (this is the most difficult part so practice it) if you do it right the ultra should stuff the EX kicks no problem but if you do the cross up like top players do against any other character from the cast (expect dee jay) where they wait a split tent of a sec or try to move jimmy more forward or try to create that fake illusion of crossing up by delaying the move your ultra will get reverse by the EX kicks! well if you need help understanding you contact me over srk. I know you people might wonder who is this guy? or why he never posted before? well the reason is i never use SRK cuz most of the threats are a mess, but i felt like i needed to inform the blanka players in general since everyone i talked to this past weekend @ revelations was stunned about my findings and the yun and yangs players were speechless on how i was able to land my cross up ultra time after time…so yeah you welcome folks! let me know how effective is for you and hope this helps in the match up against the twins…

Good info, so what you are saying is you need to do the same input, but SOONER for the twins? I wonder why, and why doesnt it work on DeeJay?

yes sooner for the twins…cross up ultra doesn’t work on deejay cuz his body animation acts in a strange motion where it puts his body more forward than usual after a throw…
