>he deals great damage,

Bison damage rating is strange, is like Rx-78 is good machine, but it depend on pilot and who you against, when against some cheap Zaku II yeah he is white devil, but not so much with Char…

bison can be very scary if you guess what they gonna do next, maybe Bison can bring you some New Type ability and share his Psycho Power ability with you if you main him when you over 9000 BP (what? is over 9000!!!

there is prove, I was losing badly at first since I thought normal Hado/DP and tic mix but is not…

I am losing, but bison does have some scary damage out put if you not combo it.
down scale is not on move is not combo, so if you combo 13 hit in 1 combo and I do hit you by PC 13 times, that is some difference.

maybe I should try to limited the combo and don’t push it too far since damage is not worth, is just like investment, 3 meter for half HP? maybe, but 1 more meter for maybe a HP damage? not really, I will save it unless is guaranteed touch of death.

Funny thing is: you and I will be doing the bison mirror soon enough

Indeed, not that bothered by it myself I had gotten kinda used to it online due to me challenging a few of the other Bison’s here and random Bison mirrors otherwise. Its more the nervousness of being on camera that’ll make me choke than anything, it nearly did last Sat, I got really lucky the last ranbat in which the grand final was a Bison mirror.

Hey guys, quick question - why do people say Bison is dangerous/scary in the corner? What kind of tactics are we talking about that makes him so good against a cornered opponent?

my corner plan:

Plan A:
light.SK in s.MK range, chip damage, use medium.SK for safe 1hit,2hit is not safe.
wait for reversal move and punish, stick out c.MK to catch l.sk pressure.
watch out their Ultra meter.

Plan B:
cross over j.mk and tic back to corner
SK knockdown follow with cross PC.
J.MP into slide, cross over.
J.MK in distance, bait for SRK punish.
Bait for SA for SK punish.

list goes on, try keep them in corner, since bison chip damage is decent, and block out a lot of escape option they used to have when against bison’s EX move.
(EX HS will hit even they back jump in corner, and if YOU in the corner, EX/normal DR can follow with super.)

just watch out their EX meter and Ultra, I miss that most of time and get punish by those things.

ok guys, lets say im devils reverse harassing repeatedly and they are constantly jumping back or jumping neutral sticking out air to air normals hoping that they can catch me. i stop devils reversing but they are still jumping what can i do to catch them? if i run up they might jump in and sometimes s.hk doesnt work all the time. whats the best way to deal with a chronic jumper?

some will use c.HP, but I don’t use that since it might trade…

DR and light punch PC work sometime, and it work ok with sim, DR catch the teleport and PC will catch the jump in.

know ur match up and other players level, if he is high lv, DR will not work, HS will not work, surprise might work sometime. and too predictive will only get u in trouble…

don’t chase the jumper, at last that is what they hope you do so their j.HK and sweep will hit you, and repeat back to jumping…

lmfao why, oh why did Cammy kiss Bison here?

Isn’t she a female clone of him? Or does she have a different storyline in the cartoon. I hope she does lawl… incest ftl… ><

edit: n/m obsly the creators didn’t bother researching the history of the characters… lol

I’m not here to ask anything, more than that, I’ve come to say that today I guess I leveled up my game a bit. My game calmed down a little, and with that, I could see more oppenings for ultras, as well as started poking a lot more whenever I saw an oppening. Before, when getting my ass kicked I just started Headstomping and sliding everywhere and now that I got this “calming down and playning the next attack” thing, I guess today onwards I’m a little better than yesterday.
So thanks to all of you that write stuff here, to help other Bison players, like myself. By that, I became a better player and who knows, in the future, an even better one!

THANKS A LOT!

So I was wondering…

I’m trying to make the conversion from T-hawk to Dictator and while I’ve gotten my normals pretty down pat I still feel like I need improvement on the other fields of my Dict game. Would anyone on psn be willing to give me a helping hand with improving my Dict?

This is more of a general question than a Bison question, but I like mai Bison homies so I’ll ask here:

About tournys… what is the standard controller used? Arcade stick… 360 controller… PS3 controller? Which one? Which one is the best option? Can you list the advantages?

edit: ignore this question… arcade stick is the best… yet the best ones cost nearly as much as a wii. F- that imma just have to step up my game with the standard controller D:

i have a question about bisons throw properties…he grabs oponent, throws him back then forward…does his charge only start when the oponent gets thrown forward? is that how it works? i cant follow up forward throw with PC or SK

On Bisons wakeup. I Neutral jumped without pushing anything and he u2’d me. How is this possible? Did he hit me in the air or do I have 4 frames of landing recovery that can be completely punished? But I didn’t push anything…idk enlighten me.

Bison’s scary in the corner because he has answers to just about all of the opponent’s options, and if Bison guesses wrong, he’s still safe. Typically if the opponent wants to get out of the corner, it usually comes down to an unsafe guess.

His walkspeed and dash allow him to walk in and out of his opponent’s range at will, which makes it easy to bait stuff.

Generally one of your goals as a Bison player is to push the opponent into the corner.

Lots of people are always willing to help. You’ll find people online in your area from this thread:

Charge characters (Bison) are generally easier to play on arcade sticks. Tournament Edition arcade sticks are generally well accepted by the competitive community, and they’re easy to mod. If you keep your eyes open, you might be able to find a TE stick for ~$100, or you can choose to mod a standard edition stick with Sanwa parts for a total of about $80.

As for pads, I personally think the 360 dpad is garbage, but I know some people who use it. Some people even learn to play with the analog pad. The Ps3 is generally considered to have a better dpad because the buttons are more separated, so you’re less likely to smudge your inputs.

Yeah it’s weird and it sucks. Bison loses charge whenever he throws.

There is landing recovery, but because you didn’t press any buttons, your landing recovery is safe and you can block immediately. This is generally known as trip guard. You lose trip guard if you attack in the air, so you are briefly vulnerable when you land.

Remember, Bison’s U2 has to be blocked a) high and b) in the correct direction (it can cross up). There is a small chance that Bison can catch you out of the air because its hitbox is so big, but it’s not very common.

I see… I looked at the hitbox data and it does life off the ground and where he was when he did it made it an easy obvious block but it hit me once again. Was bs but ty

What does the term “sandbagging” means?

Let me google that for you

The term is used commonly outside of street fighter as well.

why do some bisons choose to footsie people to death and barely do any headstomp/devils reverse? is this how you play the ideal bison? or is this just a preference thing?

Headstomp and DR can be punished in a lot of different ways, and aren’t that effective outside of certain situations.

On the other hand, Bison’s footsies are pretty gdlk.

It really depends on who you are fighting.
