I might be online in about 2 hours, if you want you can play me again.
Argh, you should have invited me I’d have been happy to! Do you have any alternate chars you could play?
You weren’t there when I was on though! And yes, I can also play Akuma and Abel.
Hey man, nice to play you again last night. I have to say as constructive criticism you jump WAY too much! I was shocked! You were reading my jump ins and getting the punish so well done
but why not just s.hk? I remember last time we played I smashed your jumpin game really badly with my AA’s and super.
Nice Abel and Akuma by the way. Wish I could play Akuma and Abel better.
Yeah I know, I do jump way too much sometimes, gotta get that out of my system. And I didn’t s.HK 'cause Gens jump confuses me, I’m never sure that s.HK will hit.
About your Bison; first of all, you did pretty good! What I did notice though, is that you did random (?) HK/EX scissor kicks a couple of times. I wasn’t punishing/blocking those correctly, but trust me, you cannot do that shit vs. better players. You’ll get punished big.
Remember you can’t just AA gen with st.rh in all situations. His j.fierce where he looks like a ball beats RH at most ranges if done correctly.
If I got an opponent in the corner, I back away a bit and get a charge. Now if I want to walk forward just a bit to MK/HK, how do I do it without getting a SK?
I get punished very often because of this mistake.
You gotta put the stick back or leave it at nuetral then hit MK/HK.
Don’t go that far where you have to walk forward to hit st. mk/st. rh. Just walk back far enough where you can still tag them with your normals but you won’t eat wake up throw or if they DP, it won’t allow them to FADC it. From there, go from down back to just back + mk/hk. By doing this, it allows you to immediately pressure with lk scissors after the recovery of the mk/hk.
I’ll start sitting on my super to punish ya haha, I’m sure you’ll iron it out. I KNOW! >_< I can’t help it, it’s really stupid, I know it’s very punishable but I just do it sometimes, really stupid
I need to work on a good BnB after a jumpin I think, I’ll go to the training room and we’ll rematch and I can try to impress your pro Bison
Also I was wondering if you could tell me which Ultra I should be using and how I should be applying them? Might sound like a really noob question but hey I’m a really big noob
Which ultra to use is very match-up dependent. Most people pick ultra II against characters with a fireball, since you can punish those with Psycho Punisher.
I personally have made the decision to only use ultra I, because whenever I pick PP I start focusing on punishing fireballs(buffering the ultra II motion, thus giving up charge). For some reason I’m also better at landing ultra I after j. MP.
I really feel that Bison doesn’t actually need his ultra though. It’s nice to have one, but most of the time you won’t even use it.
I’m really pleased you said that, with my Gen I can always look for an ultra on reaction or link it off a super or my jumping target combo. But with Bison I feel quite happy to scissor kick and poke etc.
How unsafe is his c.hk do you know?
Do you mean close or crouching HK?
Anyway, close HK is -1 on block, crouching HK is -10 on block but can be cancelled. Check the Bison frame data thread or the prima guide frame data.
Since I can’t seem to find the matchup thread anymore I will just ask here. How in the world can you beat Akuma’s demon flip kick BS? Here is to hoping the supposed answer isn’t just block considering he can do it over and over again.
Also seems Adon’s Jag Kick is safe, or at least one of the versions, I don’t even get time to get out a low short.
Any thoughts on beating Guy’s elbow?
I read somewhere in Kim1234’s thread that c.LP might beat it… but I’ve had no success with it. The best I can do is trade with c.HP…
c.lp does beat it, you can tag his legs on his way down.
Whatever you do, don’t jump.
what exactly causes warp to come out instead of U1 (or U2 if AE)? If you do the back forward motion too quickly? Or if you don’t do forward but down forward? Which one is it?
Lucas! Stop jumpiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing lol lost count of the amount of times I ultra’d or AA’d you lol Bison has an awesome ground game why don’t you just pin me to the floor with scissor kick pressure and stuff?
Generally the problem is either A) you don’t have enough charge or B) you have sloppy inputs (such as doing the motion so quickly that one of the two back inputs doesn’t register. I’m not sure if ending in down-forward necessarily always causes teleport over Ultra, but in my experience, it’s much more reliable to get Ultra by ending with just forward.
yeah I think this is it. I play piano at a hyper high level so I have insanely faster fingers, I need to slow down when doing this motion. I even have the quarter circle ultra 2 motion come out as warp sometimes >.> lol. It hasn’t bothered me because I generally don’t even get an ultra or need to use it when playing right… but it’s mandatory to be able to dead on with that motion when needed.
