if you cant see the costumes but dont want to buy them, you can download the costume catalog from the dlc and you can see the costumes even if you haven’t bought them

So M.Bison is my most hated fight in SSF4, no matter what character I’m using. I have a lot of trouble pressuring him after a knockdown. My favorite character is Abel. So I started my lab work there.

I did my homework and learned how to option select some of his wake-up options. All but Teleport. I actually thought roll would catch it till I remembered you can teleport behind the person. I looked up its start-up but all it said was “–”.

Does that mean its instant? Either way why aren’t more M.Bison players using this move?

man i use teleport all the time. it has its uses. like people say, too much of anything is bad for you, that includes teleporting

Startup (disappearing) is instant, recovery (where he reappears) is 42 frames (i.e. pure ass). You can ultra and/or wheel-kick that on reaction.

42 sounds like forever but I still can’t wheelkick it or ultra on reaction.

I tried by not doing the ultra till Bison reappered. Since in a game you’ll have to wait till he reappears just to know which way to ultra. Unless you make a great read and see it coming you’re not going to land Souless and definitely not wheelkick. I can normal him or tornado throw if my opponent makes a bad decision and teleports in the corner.

If you think I’m just doing something wrong maybe you could show me on XBL.

just make sure don’t try chip dic with ultra, period, maybe an overhead because this sometime mess up ultra direction.
but being such a dic can still pull UC2 with you at same time and win (dudley for example, but not rufus)

order an XXX large size teleport for your dic today, this will change the world.

btw if you watch a lot of kim1234 video you can see some how he use this worst recovery move as bait too, so if you try to punish it but forgot to calculate his Ultra/travel distance for your UC, you will pull your ultra and EAT bison full ultra before you hit his reposition teleport as chase him=fail…

because I just do that randomly and it work on a lot of character, even gief confuse pull a UC1 while I was at his face and UC2 him…

funny fact about being a dic: if I use this move 3+ time in the roll, is either I know what I am doing or don’t. (this is BS I know, but check some of our best dic quote u know what I am talking about! they are good sht!)

When an Akuma starts spamming Jumping FBs, what’s a safe way to get in his face.
I usually use teleport> st.hk but I don’t it’s really safe.

Help me be better with Ipod SF4’s Bison

Hi guys i’m trying to pick up dictator on the Iphone’s SF4. Does anyone else play him on it? I feel he made the transition pretty unscathed with his game pretty intact (eg Iphone Dhalsim has problems zoning)

Except, i get annhilated over and over against even the computer. Abel, who i otherwise perfect frequently with Ryu or Cammy, I can’t beat with dictator. Anyone with experience? I’m not sure how to react to jump ins, etc

So does Bison have any airtight Safe Jump setups? (at least on certain characters)

Not quite sure if this is common knowledge or not, but I know if you forward/back throw -> walk forward -> j.fierce, it will beat Reversal DP’s (from Ryu at least). However, if Ryu does the DP deep as if he was anti airing normally, Strong and Fierce DP will beat that setup.

What other safe jump setups do you guys use?

The one off a back throw where you step back slightly then do a late j.RH. Pretty good for baiting and punishing DP’s with Ultra or whatever.

It depends if the character has meter really.

Slide (hits), FADC backwards, hold jump forward works against most characters. That’s the only setup I know that has automatic timing.

If only his j.fierce had a bigger block box… his cross-up mixup after a throw into a corner would be godlike.

i cant seem to hit the PC after the HP in this combo. its from the training and i saw alex valle using this alot.

standing HP
PC

any advice on what im doing wrong for this combo?

Charge as early as possible and cancel into the PC early.

by cancel do you mean start to do the back-forward HP as your still in the animation of the standing HP? or do you mean FADC into the PC?

Are you able to do stand fierce, PC without the jump-in? If you can do that, then you simply have to charge as early as possible when you jump.

If you can’t do standing fierce into PC, then you need to work on that first.

im currently sitting in training doing just that. i cant even get it once.is it a timing issue? im holding back as im doing the fierce punch, then going forward punch. is this wrong? its what i do with clk into dkp

You can only cancel close fierce punch, which looks like this . You can’t cancel the far fierce into PC.

Can you do crouching medium kick into PC? If you can’t do that, it’s definitely a timing issue on your part.

Make sure you’ve charged long enough for PC. The charge is about one second, but charge for two or three seconds just to be sure that’s not your problem.

This is necessary for me to exit rush down/jump in on get up situations when I don’t have meter. If you can learn to charge sk’s for release on end of teleport it can be a good unexpected mix up too.
