I dunno mirrors are weird. It does test skill to an extent but it’s not the same as a 5-5 of two different chars. eading and reacting properly to the other opponent will always be important, and someone might do that better than the other player and win. only thing is that in the mirror, reading and reacting is not as big of a bottom line as in a regular matchup with two different chars. there’s too many random factors and weird situations arising from having one moveset versus itself.
I have yet to participate in one of these XBL SRK bison gatherings, but i’d imagine that’s another aspect to the mirror, good old fashioned fun with other dic mains from srk.

Before I say anything I would like to say that you have crispy ass links bro! Very entertaining to watch, however your competition, not so much. I would have to say that I definitley hope you post some more vids, but against better opposition. I say this because you look like your levels above both of the players you were against. Besides that, great Bison man!

Does anyone know what clips had daigo in evo apac doing option select DP > ultra1 against bison’s ex psyco crusher? I know there is a ex tatsu, but i thought i saw daigo doing the option-select DP > ultra1, either that or it was really obvious that the bison was going to do ex PC
It was definitely OS, but Daigo actually has two for bison when he does j.Fierce on wakeup. One will lp dp if bison ex drs, ex headstomps, ex pcs, or backdashes, the other is j.fierce to hk tatsu in case bison teleports. I know i saw him do both in his matches against andre so you might want to start there. Also don’t look at daigo’s videos and expect good or even great ryu’s to do the stuff he does. He’s clearly in a league of his own as far as ryus go.
Yeah I pretty much had no competitive Dudley experience whatsoever going into that. I pretty much was learning the matchup as I went, other than keeping what other people have written about it in the back of my mind. But it’s all good, ST SBO qualifiers will be this weekend at the same place, Shawn will have another stream up for that as well.
There is a whole cast player, that with his Ryu is somewhat consistent in option selects during casuals…but chokes on some big ones during tournaments. lol
