as good as bisons standin roundhouse may be, its ass when it comes to anti-air and most of us here know it =)
roundhouse seems to work well against rufus when hes near us or when hes lifting off to dive kick
however when rufus is able to dive kick at the peak of his jump, it creates huge problems for bison to roundhouse
look at how the dive kicks are proper spaced and delayed to where andre was punished for doing st. roundhouses

Here u can see TUC play the matchup and instead of throwin out roundhouses he throws out a standin short as soon as rufus hits the ground

use standin roundhouse when rufus divekicks at ur torso
use standin short when rufus dive kicks at ur legs / shins
use cr. forward when rufus uses dive kick to gain space

i think if u work the timing out u can beat closer dive kicks with ur low forward and even knock it out of the air =)

and its one of the few matchups that ive learned to enjoy as time passed
i think only me and one other bison would agree with the japs when they say its a 6-4 matchup in bisons favor
apparently when u get ur spacing down it should be easier to deal with a dive kick happy rufus

Tsukiji also plays the match up very well (Bison vs. Rufus). I think that if you start watching closely the reason why Bison has some sort of advantage on the new characters (viper, abel, rufus, fuerte) is because he can create that space. I think his main weapon may be High Kick, but he has the ability to zone them all out with footsies and normals, like andy said earlier.
AND if you really hate rufus. SPAM HK it’ll catch up sooner or later haha.
To deal with those dive kicks from Rufus -U must know the spacing of the diff. versions (AndyOcr points out a few)
I use those aswell jumping back mp X2 for the ones that are at chect and head range.

Also, when Kim threw out those ex-scissors at the end of round one set two, I’m wondering if he was trying to punish Sagat’s HK or if he was baited. Either way, a huge risk.
I watched those videos sequentially and saw Mofu and Jinetta kicking ass and was hoping they’d fight. First round Jinetta really messed up by missing a crossup and throw tech…either one and I think he still would’ve had a lead. I never heard of either of those 2 before.

Amazing footsies and zoning. You kept yourself at the perfect range where Bison’s antiairs work great for pretty much the whole match. its nearly impossible to get in on Bison when he controls the air like that because s .mk and safe lk scissors pretty much stop any attempts ground wise.
If c.lk is a blocking string in ssf4 Bison is going to be really sick lol.
