All of Bison’s strengths were shown off in that vid, not to mention being a sort of bison footsie tutorial, someone should post that in the psycho science thread. my favorite parts of that vid were 1.) dashing under ryu’s jump ins, 2.) counter poking ryu’s cr.forward with bison’s cr.forward, seemingly on reaction.

Alot of that Balrogs offense relied on jumping in and some of them were pretty predictable.
In my experience almost anytime you ex pc through a Balrog and its blocked from up close they jump in…you should be ready to c.hp that shit.
BTW m16ghost did andre or Li joe win that tournament? It just showed Andre winning one match and LI joe winning the other.

Crazy meter management by RF in that first round. Dude had like, 1.8 bars, which to Kuma (in the heat of the moment) prolly just looked like not enough to FADC with. Kuma pressures with meaty, RF uppercuts KNOWING that it would push him to FADC-capable status, and ends up hitting that touch of death.
Nice find. Definitely some really interesting trappy sorts of strings in there… although I suppose the litmus test for good frame traps would be, ‘do they hit?’ His didn’t. If you’re frame trapping like crazy and nothing is hitting, at some point you need to consider the fact that dude is clearly not pressing any buttons, and that it might be a good idea to try for the throw. Still, I really like the spacing on those strings. Reminds me of the kinds of defensive strings I’ve seen Andre used in videos, like ‘s.short, c.forward, s.rh.’
