Some characters have no QST (QuickStand Setup) and only have a NST (Normal Stand Setup) sadly. So basically you got nothing as soon as they realise that they can always quickstand.
Bisons moveset is perfect for these weird setups, but the main problem for bison is that his ridiculous high jump takes too much time to land a move on the right frame. And then there is also the godlike hurtboxes some characters have while quickstanding (for example Adon or Gen).

If i remember correctly, Viper Juri Sagat Seth Dhalsim Yun Yang Cammy all got setups for quickstand and normal stand (footage of them is on my channel)
The other characters do not.

I just make it up as I go along.

He is whiffing the skull diver and go for cr.lk/mk and lands on the other side !!! Is this some char specific technology or can Bison do this with every char ? Sorry, but I was not able to hit the lab to test it.

Interesting. It looks like it only happened when Sagat was doing his st.hk, so it looks character specific. It could be worth playing around with just to see when it happens. It definitely doesn’t happen if the opponent is just standing around though.

Bison can safejump after ex-headstomp (grounded hit)-> skull diver, but it’s character specific. Doesn’t work on tall characters unless they’re crouching.

Yes. After an ex stomp (grounded hit) you can also go for an empty devil reverse cross up (character spec.). The crouching light punch will hit meaty.
This is very ambiguous when you do it fullscreen.

Oh sorry for that … cant tell you the exact times … he is doing it a couple of times … I think in the 1st match and in the 3rd match … I am currently not able to watch it.

This works also on Gen … for some strange reasons … I will check the replays of a friend that felt into this trap a couple of times … I think it is possible to create this situations … but I currently dont have the time to go into the lab … sry

It’s not something that can be done consistently. Sagat just mistimed his anti-air roundhouse when Gagapa attempted to do the fake cross up skull diver trick. This caused the bug.

Honestly … I am not sure about this … My friend (a Gen player) played against a >4k pp Bison lately and this guy used the same trick over and over again !? I hope he has a replay …

Hmm… Well I would definitely be interested in that replay if you can find it.
I’ve played many matches online (24,000+ bp, 4900+pp) and have only came across this glitch a few times against Sagats who tried to AA roundhouse my skull diver but couldn’t because I’d lean it out of range.
To me it seemed like the same situation in those Gagapa matches, but hey, you never know.
If you think it can be done on multiple characters then please feel free to share as I’m always interested to learning new tech :slight_smile:

Btw, I have some “right corner only” tech that I’ll be sharing with you guys this weekend (too busy with school atm).
The setup isn’t difficult, works against quite a few characters and should still work in USF4.

If it was intentional, Gagapa would’ve been better prepared to hit confirm off of it. Instead, he looks just as thrown off about the side switch as his opponent

My fault man. I’ve had my work cut out for me this past week or so, but here it is in a nutshell.

It’s a fake cross up setup.

Do a forward throw in the right corner, dash forward, jump light kick (delay lk slightly).

Bison lands in front of the opponent and can get a full combo.

Same setup works after a back throw.

Setup works on the following characters: Balrog, C. Viper, Cammy, Chun Li, Deejay, Dudley, Gen, Gouken, Rose, Rufus, Sakura, Yang, Yun.

Once you get in your opponent’s head with the fake cross up, mix in jump mk to actually cross up.

It’s almost impossible to tell the difference.

I would provide a video demonstration but don’t have any equipment for it.

If anyone REALLY needs a visual though, just add me on xbl and I’ll provide replays.
