Just finished it. Wow, it’s short at about 2 hours. It is very fun, and the visuals are amazing. Unless you are a big fan of Bioshock, wait until it goes on sale.
Spoiler
I don’t want to give away too much. But if anyone is curious, Burial at Sea explains the scene after Infinite’s credits, fleshing it out into it’s own story. Nice twist ending. Also it only has one big daddy fight, though plenty of group fights to keep you alert (seriously the shield seems very useless in this).
Fucking don’t quote spoilers if you weren’t gonna click them. I didn’t see anything that I didn’t know already “big daddies” and they were in the preview. Gonna wait for all of the episodes to release and then for them to go on sale, probably.
if you knew anything about dimensions, factual dimensions not theory then you would understand the lutece “twins” a bit more. instead we are here gossiping instead of using critical thought
the booker in the dlc is still having nosebleeds which are now followed by flash backs. one of the flash backs was a first person view of comstock standing over the holy water basin, on his right hand is a tattoo of A.D. something most people thought was just a scar which our booker made to remember was infact something comstock had done to remember
useful?
I think spreading an invitation to deeper knowledge should be welcomed as a challenge not treated as witch craft
Yo, I made one post in this thread and never came back. I’ve no interest in reading prior pages, but has all the discussion from people like the dude above me been overselling the cheesy baby’s-first-time-romp story as something that is revolutionary in terms of video game storytelling, with declarations of ‘not getting it’ and ‘critical thinking’? I watched her play Burial at Sea since my girlfriend had an interest in Infinite, and it just seemed like they were trying really hard to appeal to older Bioshock fans, while retaining all the horrible gameplay decisions they made in the past. It was kinda sad, because they deviated from the Ayn Rand feel and instead kept the same pseudo intellectual schleck as before.
Hopefully they don’t turbo retcon the series any further and it can go back to its superior roots.
It’s quite dangerous that HOW someone says something is more important than WHAT someone says. Well I guess it worked for Hitler.
The director of bioshock’s fabortive movies are ones you learn something new from each time you watch it. I’m trying to legitimise the story of being worthy of this attention. That’s all. The only thing pseudo about what I’m saying is the popular connotations of the word “Alien”
I’m being attacked for exciting critical thinking, what a sad world
Name dropping quantum physics makes anything sound really deep and interesting because we really don’t understand it well at the moment.
Anyways, I’m not going to drop 15 dollars for the Burial at Sea DLC. It just seems like a ploy to get infinite players to buy old copies of bio shock 1&2. The full bio shock infinite feels like a rental or a $20 buy at the most. I myself got the pirated version for PC days after the release.
I was referring to the game. The plot is also convoluted to the point where anything can mean anything. I’m not talking Inception levels here but it’s pretty bad when a bunch of people that have completed the game have several different interpretations of the plot.
I wish the “anything can mean anything” theorem had strength but when people try to give an example it has loads and loads of holes in the logic so they just give up and focus on something else. its not true
the way I’ve been reading it is a few people are missing key bits of information making them calculate inconclusively. there have been a few plot calculations in which certain people have agreed with certain people. my argument does not discount some of the thought processes out there, I include them but there are multiple levels of understanding things.
It’s not that your ideas aren’t welcome it’s that you’re not explaining any of them. You’re just going “Hey check out this kinda weird thing! It means something! You’re all delusional!”
You’re not presenting any ideas at all, you’re just pointing out oddities. When no one has any fucking idea what you’re getting at it doesn’t spark conversation, it just makes people want to ignore you.
yeah, the problem in the thread is the way you’re conducting yourself, Ki. You spent like 40 posts telling everybody they were blind, and making all these dumbass comments, rather than just saying your thoughts. If I were having a conversation with you in real life and you acted like this, I would give you some hubba bubba just so when I slap you, I can watch you spit out some gum
