Bionic AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMM! MvC3 BioCom general discussion

So the corner relaunch loop is now officially gone. Thoughts?

I never figured it was especially overpowered, but Capcom seems to think otherwise.

I can still get it to work with Thor. Maybe they just decided to give Dante the middle finger?

I still cannot get it to work and the damage definitely doesn’t seem as good. Maybe for some obscure reason it doesn’t work from Spencer to Dante anymore?

Ah well my team is falling apart anyway. Time to cook up something new with Spencer.

Special Conversations - Marvel vs. Capcom Wiki
its in here.

Morrigan to Shuma is way too funny.

That’s pretty cool, but what I meant were the actual audio of the conversations. And yea Morgan to Shuma is hilarious

What do you guys use the Armor Piercer assist for aside from extending combos? Does it have a good use?

Extending blockstrings and chip damage.

Its main use is extending combos, but it’s also really good at that, putting the opponent in a lot of stun while only hitting once (fighting against damage scaling) where that hit also does huge huge damage (very good).

Honestly, the hitbox is pretty nice on it. It doesn’t work against everyone, but I’ve had pretty good luck calling spencer, then dashing forward. If they tag my point character, armor pierce has a pretty good chance of interrupting them. VERY risky, obviously, but its something.

SOMETIMES and I really mean rarely, it can be a decent get off me assist

But the majority of me using it is to extend a Taskmaster combo. In the corner, after an air combo i’ll call Armor Piercer then i’d OTG Air H Arrows. Get the wall bounce and relaunch or combo into a hyper combo

I saw some interesting Spencer play from Noel Brown last night.

I like using Armor Piercer as a highly damaging link after landing his F+H overhead.

So have you guys seen Desk’s newest video?

I did, and it just makes me scratch my head a bit at what’s going on at Capcom.

Granted, a glitch can be fairly tricky to remove, I just felt like the patch accomplished nothing. At least as a Sentinel player when I scrub out people with a lvl 3 x-factor Sent, I can say “But dude, he got nerfed yo. insert troll face

Pretty sure this is new technology. I haven’t seen anyone go for it.

If it’s tight enough they don’t appear to be able to do anything about it (tested vs air dash, teleport, mashing normals).

Stark thats actually really cool reset but dam its situational. Also i though phoenix could 1 frame teleport after DP transformation to escape any airgrab? Though I think spencer vs phoenix is a bad matchup because spencer can’t mash c.:l: as a teleport defence like 80% of the roster can. I still have yet to see a spencer go toe to toe with a good phoenix player and come out ahead, though you can keep her from running away for ever with a handful of assists like doom missle or shuma ray.

She can teleport out of ground throw setups. Her air teleport is not invulnerable; in that situation, she cannot do anything. And it’s not *that *situational; you can adjust the combo based on their remaining health, just need to make them transform in the air. Although no it isn’t something you can do off of everything in every situation.

re: phoenix players running away, my secret tactic is to play keepaway myself with super jumps and a lot of ziplines to threaten a timeout and goad them into taking a punishable aggressive action. You have to already be ahead for that to work, but eh.

Probably noted before, but after a combo that doesn’t use a wall bounce, you can DHC into Bionic Maneuvers, follow it up with TK grapple, and hit them in the air with :s: just like you would in a normal combo. This causes the opponent to flip out immediately after the air :s:, which you can then command grab with the :h: version once you land. If successful it means death to basically any character, depending on what combo you did before DHCing.

I just found out, while the opponent is ground grappled they can get hit by assists, and then you can follow up with reel in punch or drop kick. It probably takes some experimenting but I’m sure some cool combos can come from it.

Unless they air tech back or forward. Then they’ll completely whiff your throw. :frowning:

You can also jump and airgrab to follow their air tech.

About that.
