Even if he did end up “overpowered”, you should still use him if you like him.
I actually ordered a Streetfighter tournament edition arcade stick just for this game, I want to play this game competitevily
If he ends up overpowered that’s just more of a reason to use him.
It’s Marvel, a character being overpowered is honestly the biggest non-issue. Far more than SSFIV.
Being a Marvel game that’s a good thing. Even better when it’s a character you genuinely have interest in.

LOLOL OH SHIT, the tags in this thread That Buju Banton one killed me.
Bionic arm safe on block? I must be dreaming
so it looks like his wire grapple and hyper grapple both wiff on a standing amaterasu
it does hit if comboed into though.

^ I wouldn’t go for grapples too much outside of combos anyway. Especially against Amaterasu, one whiffed grapple and you’ll be eating her raw elemental hyper
lol
It’s really, really not at all.
If you’re not doing a combo or not very sure that your grapple will hit, all your grapples need to be instant air. Grapple is qcf, so if you do a tiger knee motion instead (just quarter circle forward then up-toward) and then press punch, you’ll get a grapple as soon as you jump. This is better because the air version of grapple comes out faster and recovers much faster. Unfortunately this way you don’t have access to ground grapple +get over here followup, just the launcher, and you also can only grapple grounded opponents at a particular range (which you can expand by letting yourself get a little more air before pressing punch). But at least it’s safer.
Zipline (S+At) is better as instant air too, since with an air zip you can attack while you’re zipping and with a ground zip you have to wait until you get there. Zip seems to only do like a jab’s worth of hitstun, so this is pretty important. Instant air zip also gives you access to angles you don’t otherwise get. For example, standing zip whiffs over some characters, whereas instant air zip lets you grab characters as long as you’re at the right distance.
Making sure you’re at proper air grapple/zip range is gonna be pretty huge for a Biocom looking to get in, I think.

What overheads does spencer have so far. Tigerknee wire grab???
I didn’t notice before but Spencer’s official movelist has popped up on the mvc3 site
I was hoping it’d have the command for his 3rd hyper, but sadly only 2 hypers are named for each character :lame:
We have the official move names at least
