Big Bang Beat

I still play this game whenever I can. It is not a bad game overall. However, I still can’t figure out how to do all the character’s Big Bang Break moves.

I’d disagree with the good music part. But everything else I agree with.

I thought the music fit really well.

The game was great when it first came, I thought it had a lot of potential. As people have stated the patches didn’t really fix any of the original problems and the game became more and more brokesauce.

Bump.

So I got this game AGAIN. Problem is it refuses to work. I got some help from Xenozip but it resulted in no progress.

I try to run the game or the options and nothing happens at all. I create a BBB folder in my program files and it still didn’t work. I checked every compatibility setting and it didn’t work.

Anyone got any ideas?

I don’t know…I have the original game, but I’m lacking the patches due to a HD crash. If you want, get me on AIM, YIM or MSN, and I’ll share my copy. You’ll have to update it, but maybe your’s got corrupted or something.

But in all honesty, you shouldn’t be playing this game, as awesome as some of the designs/music are.

Honestly, I probably wouldn’t mind playing 1.01 again. Lol. It might have been more broken but at least it was fun.

For the two people who still care: I’ll be taking the wiki down sometime this week, if you needed anything from it make sure you grab it

Good night, sweet prince.

Why did you do that? :wasted:

Not that I was playing it but fg wikis disappearing is always sad

Taking up room, nobody plays it, nobody’s updated it for a long time, no point.

Believe it or not, maybe B3 is coming to America by Rockin Android… i wonder if they know all the reputation of the game these days… maybe they can make a new upgrade for US only a-la-Tatsunoko?

Aww, why no Melty Blood in that list. ;_;

Big Bang Beat had potential imo…somehow they should have fixed the problems with it.

Yeah that “somehow” was the problem in itself. Every time they tried to make it better they just made it worse instead, they didn’t how how to fix it.

but doesnt the problem come from the fact that they had problems with some programer who took the source code with him?
but thinking it well, after seeing MKV maybe that was only an excuse :looney:

also considering that BBB2 is coming suposely this year, maybe we would be able to see its true potential

Big Bang Beat 2 is approaching vapourware status considering that literally NOTHING has been heard or seen of the game since it was announced and even the developer’s website doesn’t mention it, instead having info on a Touhouvania fangame they’re making.

Haven’t played the game for a while now. Umm… some Doujin games are coming in the US from this one company? Interesting, I’ll have to check into this. Now if only they add more fighters, like Monster and Akatsuki Blitzkampt.

The patches were actually making the game worse before that incident. And they continued to make it worse after that incident. And yeah, the patches in MKV steadily made MKV worse too. So presumably the same person responsible for patching BBB was responsible for MKV, but I don’t know, I never bothered analyzing the credits.

Either way, they just failed at fixing it.

  • Too many of the core fundamental game mechanics were bad.
  • The things they kept changing weren’t the core fundamental mechanics (they kept trying to fix things that weren’t part of the problem).
  • There was nothing unique about it other than the art (which was derived from an H-game anyway).

It’s like, “why would you play BBB when you can play [x]…”, answer : “Well, the art is nice and I like [x] character…”

And that’s about it. You could say the break system might have been a little unique but I’m sure it’s appeared in at least one other game, and even if it was unique so what it was fucking terrible.

I already know that NRF split and all those stories, what i talking about is a patch BY ROCKIN ANDROID, maybe with request by people from here and other fighting sites… Tatsunoko is now a whole different game in the US release, why not B3?.
