Big Bang Beat

any new news?

A lot of the information seems to have disappeared about the game on the website. It now links to a 404 error. I sincerely hope this isn’t becoming vaporware, since they canceled the loc tests.

Hmmm…

I sincerely hope that this may be just a slight set-back on plans, and that this game isn’t going up in smoke.

French Bread’s cruel and unusual (but still very cool looking) Notorious Brand “joke” was already bad enough…

I hope this wasnt a fucking joke. I was really looking forward to this shit

Fighting game based on h-game had lots of potential. I REALLY wanted to play this. D:

im not gonna count it out yet. hopefully wat happened was,
at the loc tests some ridiculously broken stuff was found so they
r taking extra time to fix it. i hope im right cuz this game had me
hype.

I can still see the web pages from the first post.

Site just came back up this morning. Hooray for good outlook!

Lol people getting me all worried. I was pretty close to head butting anything that approached me even the cat…

However, if you still feel the need to head butt your cat, please record it so that we may turn it into the next hilarious internet gif sensation.

Lol but I wov my cat :lovin:…

I was about to say that this was a very elaborate and probably expensive April Fool’s joke.

What’s the news?

I see something listed about April 9th, but I have no idea what it says. Can someone translate that crap, please?

Something about a location test on the 9th at TRF and also on the 30th I believe.

wow, loke test at trf :hitit:

i’m actually wondering if this is actually going to end up being a arcade release… that would be hella sweet!

also, i noticed something while scanning the announced list of voice actors. there is a new character (sanae) not listed in the current character rosters. a typical iinchou type with glasses. bleh. o well.

Loke tests are indeed still on? Excellent… :wgrin:

Maybe eventually…but for right now, I’m still expecting this to be a PC release first and foremost. After all, if you, as a PC Doujin dev, can hit it off with a PC Doujin fanbase (and keep them pleased by offering updates and bugfixes periodically), you’ve got your foot in the door, I would think.

Besides, catering to the PC fanbase first and foremost would be more or less akin to having a dedicated entourage of “playtesters” who can find these glitches and bugs that the devs can get to patching as soon as possible. Ideally, this would help the devs create a final, well made product that everyone will be pleased.

Honestly…probably the main reason why Melty Blood probably was such a mess for its initial arcade release was because French Bread went and changed the formula up so much from their last PC release (which was more or less balanced, all things considered), thus rendering all of the hard work that came from patching and fixing obsolete. They had practically got it down pat, then needed to start from scratch once Act Cadenza came around…

I’m hoping that these guys don’t fall into the same trap with BBB. If they’re going to go arcade sooner or later, I would hope that they would have built up a good repetoire on the PC first, with patches a plenty, then do whatever ya need to do for the arcade release (such as new characters).

If the developer bypasses PC and goes straight to arcade then I’ll probably not have a chance to play it sadly. Considering that Melty Blood and Arcana Heart are no-shows in this city. And I’ll be referring to this game as B3 from now.

Well, hey, even if that WERE to happen, there would probably be still the PS2 port to hope for, I would think. ^^;

Any way…B3? 3B? BBB? I’m sure the community will come to some sort of consensus on what will be its “appropriate” abbreviation sooner or later…once the game actually comes out, that is.

Yeah, I’m sure there’ll be a port. A Japanese port.

I wanna take the initiative. Bang!
