BFL: The Team Deathbutton/Steroids/Bigman Thread

You don’t necessarily have to be in the corner to link s.FPxxxlp.JuggyPunch.

Simple B&B combo is use with Juggs is j.FP,[land],s.lp,s.FP+Hulk Beta, lp.JuggyPunch. Does about 50% damage on average character and is only 5 hits. Then if they’re in the corner you could a.) d+lp, Headcrush; b.) d+lp, f+fp, sj.lp,lk,fp,fk,[land]j.lp,lk,[land], FP throw into…blah…blah…blah.

Sure.

[1=poor, 2=below average, 3=decent, 4=above average, 5=Excellent]

Earthquake (Alpha)
Block Stun-5
Speed-4
Recovery-4
Comboability-4
Damage-3 (19 pts [29 pts glitched)] 4 hits
Overall-4

Juggernaut Punch (Beta)
Block Stun-3
Speed-3
Recovery-2
Comboability-3
Damage-5 [24 pts (42 pts glitched)]
Overall-3

Juggernaut Splash (Gamma)
Block Stun-3
Speed-3 average [2 on ground or 4 in the air]
Recovery-1
Comboability-2
Damage-4 [22 pts (33 pts glitched)]
Overall-3

I gave some credit to the splash cause it hits high (overhead). They are all good assist in my opinion, so its only up to your play style and what your feel comfortable with. I myself prefer the Alpha cause since the big guys aren’t as fast, the block stun and faster recovery really helps.

I’ve heard of a guy that uses Mag-a/Sent-g/Juggs-g very effectively. Basically he calls Juggs Splash, and dashes in and attacks low with Mags as Juggs hits high for an unblockable. Also he has some really sick fly/unfly combos with Juggs’ Splash.

wow man juggs A assist is too good for doing some flying strings
and now i’m trying to setup fast fly combos with col AAA since i’m going to lose the body splash assist

a great B&B with juggs is c.lk, c.lk+ sent A (otg) , headcrush (can be rolled and not tested ). and an other is (anywhere) s.lk, s.hp+ tron, jugg punch or HC ( in corner stick do jugg punch and then follow up)

now i’m playing juggA/sentA/colAAA but i’m trying to decide if i will use sent in A ou G

can anyone check this combo ? col on point, c.lk, c.lk+ jugg A (otg) (run) s.rk, AC ?

Sent Ground would probably work better with Juggs since the block stun would make up for his lack of speed. Also its good for backing up headcrushes just in case they block it.

Sent Alpha is mainly for High Damage Combos. You can add it to almost any combo for a ton of extra damage.

Yes that combo works. I’ve used it before.

Yeah I knew that. I didn’t mean it that way, I meant, if you wanted to link a Headcrush after you land that Juggernaut Punch in the corner all you’ve gotta do is a crouching weak kick as soon as their body hits the ground, and the combo count hits 4, then get your headcrush on.

If you experiment a little more with that, there is alot more you can do after the d+lk/lp. For example, I d+lp+hulk dash, j.lp, j.fp, [land] Headcrush or Snap-In. Also the corner combo I posted earlier which = death. Also, if you delay the Headcrush slightly after the d+lk/lp, you can get an 8 hit headcrush.

Juggernaut has an unbelievable arsenal of combos in the corner alot of which are 100% on most characters.

O.K. here’s how it all breaks down…

My Sent > ED’s and Rod’s Sent

Ed’s Thanos >> ALL

Ed’s Corner Juggy > Mine > Rod’s

Rod’s Hulk > Mine > Ed’s

Ed’s Collossus >> ALL

My Team Strong > Ed’s Team Strong:D (you shoulda seen this one coming)

This is all for now

Peace

Shit, I really wish I could make it on your list, but you’ll never see me play.:bluu: Damn, I’d REALLY like to see if I could top Ed’s Corner Juggs. You guys wouldn’t be close to Auburn, AL by chance?

I’ve gotten as good with Juggernaut as I can get, but there’s infinite improvement with Hulk. I gotta start working on that. I’m not even going to bother with Sentinel for the moment, Hulk seems more fun to work with cause he’s crazy.

Thanks, Dan…

Sounds about right… but y’all should play 1st-to-10 for the Team Strong title. It’s only right.

I am working on my Sent for Evo. Mixup has been busting my balls about that for a long time now.

Your Team Strong>Mine.   Don’t be so cocky Padawan. I do not question your skills, but you must remember who your master is. That was only 1 match.

I’m closer to you than Buck or GD. I live in Tallahassee, FL which is pretty close to GA border. Its probably a 4 hour drive from where you’re at. You should of came to the Atlanta, GA tourny a few weeks ago. We were all there.

Hmmm, I’m at college right now, but I live in Mobile, Alabama. I don’t know how much closer that puts me to you in Florida. Unfortunately, I don’t have a car up here in college so, that puts a stop to any tournament attendance. Ah well, it’s good to know I’m not the only one who makes the most with Juggs.

Damn…take a joke Ed…I know it was only once:lol:

3 1/2 hours to Tallahassee from Mobile. I was in Moblie a few months ago (my gf relatives live there), but didn’t find any comp. After playing an hour or so, alot of the SC2 peeps starting migrating to the MVC2 machine, but none of them stood a chance.

Heh, are you talking about the MvC2 machine in the Belair Mall in Mobile? That’s where I used to go and play, and you’re right, there isn’t much Mobile has to offer competition wise. At least I don’t think so, I’ve been down there a ton of times, and it’s always the same people picking Iceman, Guile, Akuma, and so on.:bluu:

Welp, let you guys down. I came in 3rd in a local tourney. Along with two of my friends who are really good, we entered it and murdered everyone else. Needless to say they weren’t that great. But if you didn’t guess it, my friends ranked higher than I did. If you guys have seen Tondashoka post on here, he’s the one who came in first, he put my Juggernaut on lock down, and it all my fault. I got too nervous and obsessed with glitching that when I’d go to switch, I wouldn’t hit the buttons at the same time to change out. So, I got tazed by Cable’s multiple AHVBs over the course of two of the three matches we played against each other. I still have a lot to learn with Hulk.:bluu: I depend WAY too much on Juggy, but he’s just so cool!

hey

lay off guile:evil:

Theres really no let down. I’ve never won a tourny outside of my hometown, but its all for fun. I enjoy using the big guys and its my choice to play with them.

Its not easy taking on Cable with the big guys but your best bet to beat Cable is get better with Hulk. Hulk is a little bit quicker and has less punishable moves (ie Gamma Quake).

If I can ever get the hardware for my computer I’ll post up some matches I’ve won against some of Florida’s best players. There was one really good Cable player from Jax (R.I.P.), and I have several good match vids with him. He won like 5 out of 7, but they were all really close matches. I also have alot of me vs MSP played by one of Florida’s best MSP player Steven Wah. I have them all on VHS, but I don’t have the means of transferring it to MPEG format.

P.S.-Guile does suck. Sorry.:stuck_out_tongue:

Well, if you can get those vids on here then I’d appreciate it. Thanks for the tip on Cable. Hulk’s crazy, I and he makes Ton nervous enough but if I can see what you’ve been doing it’ll put the pressure on him even more. Tondashoka uses Sent/Cable/Commando against me. The tourney we participated in really wasn’t big on MvC2 because we only had best two out of three matches. I didn’t really think that was enough, but oh well. I dominated him for an hour before the tourney even started, but I guess I got nervous.

GuileMike: Heh, sorry, it’s just that most of the scrubs that come into the mall pick him, and just try to do that double sweep and a flash-kick special over and over again.

i know, me a scrub as well that does it

I’ve got a new team I’m working on. Team Russia (Omega Red, Zangief, Colossus). I’ve always loved OR, but never had a good team to put him with until now.

Omega’s throw type assist is what I used to use back when I picked him. I heard he was a real popular character in Japan to use in MvC2.

Does anybody favor Juggernaut’s variety assist over his dash assist? I tried the variety once and that was enough. I feel much safer with the dash.
